I feel like he’s a good actor, but wastes his talent on shite movies within the Marvel and Jurassic series.

Jurassic Dominion sucked. Another vanilla plot puked out on film that will make lots of money because the original was great.

I wouldn’t say he’s wasted but they made his character very bland after JW. 1. Any other in-shape moderately talented actor could have filled his role the last 2.

He’s great as Star Lord in every turn.

I enjoyed Terminal List, but he just doesn’t nail brooding or serious. He’s best cast as action with a decent sense of humor but not beating you over the head with it and being slapstick the whole time.

That being said, he seems to be one of the true non assholes in Hollywood and until proven otherwise, I’ll be rooting for him.

Great point. And I do want to see him do well. I generally like his characters. Maybe I’m just hoping to see him get out and do a different role for a bigger hit.

Did a fantastic job as Andy on Parks and Rec.

I feel like he’s a better actor overall than Channing Tatum, but feel he has similar strengths when not taking on more serious roles.

Chris Pratt is a great actor imo with a wide range. He was fantastic in terminal list. Plus commie Twitter really doesn’t like him so that’s nice.

His talent may be wasted, but his bank account isn’t.

I agree. Same thing with The Tomorrow War. He doesn’t have to limit himself to comedies, but his characters need to be a little more lighthearted or at least have a sense of humor. That’s where he shines.

The Tomorrow War

IMO good movie, even though it gave off a lot of Edge of Tomorrow vibes, which is my favorite Tom Cruise movie.

If they were hellbent on making more Indiana Jones’ movies, they should’ve rebooted and made Pratt the new Indiana Jones.

I thought this same thing. He would be great at it. I want to see Pratt & Pitt make a movie together.

How can you group those together? Everything marvel he has been in was good and he plays starlord well.

Jurassic dominion waa a joke so i guess that fits his usual comedy vibes.

I dont like much of the Marvel stuff after end game but love and thunder was good.

Been saying this for years. He also would have made a good Han Solo type character in the Star Wars reboots

Now that I think about it I guess in my mind he’s the replacement for Ford’s lighthearted roles lol

See there’s these things called contracts.

Once you take the role of someone in a big franchise, studios usually want you to continue that role (especially if you are good at it)

It’s not (totally) Pratt’s fault the franchise movies he’s been in have sucked, he’s kind of forced to do them if he wants to stay in the good graces of the studio.

Agreed. That’s another one where they should have let be a bit looser. They let Sam Richardson take on the comedic. Would have been better for them to bounce off each other.

That being said, I actually enjoyed tomorrow war.

Been a fan since Everwood.

Interesting how he and Emily VanCamp both ended up in Marvel movies.
