Is this where the satellite technology comes into play? Detect heat signature and sniping the Whisperers would throw off their herd comtrol.

I believe they effectively removed the threat of the herds like 2 seasons ago when they wiped out a huge herd by setting a pond on fire and all the walkers walked in. They should have let the forest burn. They could have moved the Ocean side community somewhere more secure than in the middle of the woods with no walls or security measures. Huge fires kills Walkers. The Governor built pits. All of their communities should have big arse moats and pits around them, with re-enforced walls and hundreds of feet line of sights. They have been there for years. It's just common sense..

Well, one interesting thing happened. The Whisperer who trapped Carol ended up dying and turning right at the end, still wearing her mask. I'm assuming she'll wander back into their camp, be presumed a Whisperer in character, and kill at least one person.

That's got to be why they showed that, right?

Honesty not sure. This show has become too ‘artistic’ for its own good

All sizzle and very little steak lately

It literally isn't but alright

I mean, it kinda is.

The main plot is they're always fighting with some different group. They eventually take out that group, and low and behold, another group shows up. They take out that group, and wouldn't you know it, another group shows up.

Quick math on the waves hitting the gates. 30 people each killing 30 walkers an hour with them coming every other hour over a 40 hour period is about 18,000 walkers and I fudged the numbers down. Some of these heroes were killing 5-6 a minute..

Here's what I don't get, and yes I know the answer is because it wouldn't be as interesting for the show lol...

A big heard of 1000 or however many walkers show up. All they really have to do is get a group of people to walk the walkers out to a main road, keep walking for 5-10 miles in front of the walkers and just guide them right past your community. Have some kind of explosives or just a way for them to follow a sound, then run off into the woods and back to the community. Theoretically you don't even have to kill any of the walkers, just guide them right past you, no?

That may happen but they showed it to prove that Carol wasn't hallucinating.

That's probably the way it would go in the ZA.

What else would you have them do? Just survival shite with some hunting and fishing tips? Endless hordes of zombies? That would get boring fast.

Carol has gone back and forth so many times between ruthless killer, meek pacifist and crazy loon that I’m just sick of it.

Who would ever describe another man as an ‘Adonis looking cat’?

These writers...

He was describing himself, and he was joking.

Come on. Of all things to complain about.

I actually thought this episode was the best one in a long time.

One thing maybe to nitpick - how and when did Carol get speed pills since they are now several years into the apocalypse? Wouldn't pills be expired and no good at this point?

Guess we have to assume that Siddiq or Eugene figured out how to manufacture pills/medicine?

I don't think it works like that.

There's plenty of ideas and directions they can go that's not just the gang fights a new group, beats new group, fights next new group, etc.

They could or could have focused more on how the virus started, a storyline around a possible cure for the virus, maybe the US government trying to be re-established, just to name a few.

I kind of agree with you, but I think this season has hope at least.

I will say, there needs to be some kind of end game that they are building to in order to conclude the series down the road.

Like, at some point American society would come together to basically restore order and eliminate the threat of walkers, right? Maybe not eliminate walkers but make it a lot less likely to be killed by one.

the premise of the universe is that there's not many people left at all, in the world presumably. and those that are left are scattered, without communications, and struggling to survive. conversely, a vast majority of the former population are now undead

yes the zombies should be starting to rot away by now, but again...its a zombie show.
