I saw it after reading the first five pages. So I guess my expectations were pretty low. I really liked it. For it being an hour and 40 minutes it seemed more like 30 minutes.

Me too, didn't watch it until today, but I like it. It's a different twist to vampires and I want to know more about the big monster and the old timer.

The old timer looks to be a holocaust survivor, so the monster could be related to the Nazis in some way. Perhaps some ancient evil the Nazis woke up or used in their experiments on Jews.

I watched the first episode Friday, and I thought it was ok. First reaction was Blade II meets walking dead. Will watch tonight.
