The Flash on CW is terrifying

I have never seen even 10 seconds of this show. Tonight I was sitting with my 3yo and the TV was on and he saw the intro and got excited (big dash fan) so I thought why not.
The next thing I know a guy is trying a diamond necklace on a woman and when they leave the room there is a box that starts moving and these spider-like legs come out and this horrifying white face with carrottop hair jerks out of the box scuttles across the room then he smashes his fingers flat so they can slide into the jewelry box containing the necklace.
The SO walks in at that exact moment and gives me a withering look and says "do you think that's appropriate for him?"
I know CSB

The terrifying thing is how corny the terrible acting and writing is. What a horrible show.

i would also imagine that the people who watch and like the Flash are the same that watch and like This is us.

you seem to really be lacking any basic knowledge of the fanbase of that show. I'm not saying it's a great show, or even every episode is a good episode, but the show as a whole isn't horrible. It's just not your cup of tea, yet you seem incapable of realizing that other people have differing opinions and hobbies than you. I don't love the show, but I certainly enjoy it.

I hope Rag Doll becomes a recurring villain like King Shark or The Trickster. He’s a D-list villain of the week but they presented him in a cool, creepy way.

By the way, the acting on the show is legit very bad. Tom Cavanagh and Victor Garber in his sporadic appearances would act circles around everybody. But I could not possibly care less. I enjoy the show because it’s pretty cool. No amount of cutting it down will mean anything to me. Those posts just roll off I don’t even remember them.

The scenes with Cavanaugh are the most cringeworthy IMO, but that is on the writing and not his acting.

A thread without negativity is like catnip to attention whores. They can't simply dislike something and ignore threads about how others like it, they have an insecurity-driven imperative that makes them constantly need to prove to themselves how much better they are than you by posting how much they don't like something you enjoy.

Funny you make that comparison as my son and I watch Flash every Tuesday and then my wife watches This is Us after. I've tried with that show but it's just too cheesed up with the drama and overacting.
