Watched the first season, enjoyed it very much. If you like the night agent you will prob like this.

100% agree. We stopped at Ep 3 of The Diplomat so no idea if it got better after that.

Correct that it's absolutely nothing like The Night Agent. However, I didn't find it boring at all. It's not supposed to be an action show. It's a drama.

Hmm, I never said it was “like” the night agent. I said if you liked night agent. Which I enjoyed and also enjoyed the diplomat.

Yeah, this show was absurd liberal masturbation. I stuck with it because I think Keri Russell is hot and both she and her husband (in the show) are very good actors. But man this just went from bad to worse to laughable.

Yea its more house of cards than Night Agent. Slow burn political posturing with lots of over acting.
