Meanwhile, iZombie was probably the bubbliest of the CW established series and in danger of cancellation over its ratings performance but clinched a renewal so its passionate core fan base can get a proper farewell — something the CW has done consistently with all of its long-running series.

Awesome that they're going to give the people on iZombie a season to wrap up the series. It would've sucked immensely if they had left us hanging just as the zombie apocalypse is on the horizon.

Damnit. I love iZombie. It's one of the few in my "live" rotation.
Is Ally Michalka leaving the show - haven't googled it, but that Washington trip in the last episode had a very goodbye kinda feel.

iZombie, while its been great watching, is a testament to networks catering to a passionate fan base. Nothing about this show would work on Network TV not that long ago.
And, yes, I admit... I love it. Its one of the few consistently entertaining shows I watch.

I predict that in their final season they'll address the fact that Liv has taken on every persona imaginable and that they've run out of new personalities for her to play on.
But I really want Hockey Goon Liv to make a comeback.

All of these shows are owned either by WB (iZombie) or CBS (Jane, Crazy) who co-own CW. That's pretty much the only reason they are being allowed to have final seasons instead of getting straight cancelled.
