Finally got around to Ted Lasso and I really liked it. It's not as funny as I expected, but it's a really good underdog story so it's very enjoyable and keeps you invested. I'm looking forward to season 2.

Coach Beard is awesome. Absolutely loved every second of this show and can’t wait for the 2nd season to start.

Go Richmond!

So what’s the style behind the show? Straight up comedy? Little drama thrown in? I’ve heard good things so I figure I might as well give it a shot.

It’s a comedy that takes place in a sports centric environment with incredible character development that is extremely wholesome

I finally watched this. Brilliant. I had seen clips and thought it looked pretty cheesy and had no plans to watch it. But how could I not watch it after reading the five or six M/TV threads raving about it? It is cheesy, but the writing and the characters are all fantastic.

I just hope that they write a compact arc and wrap up the show like a proper British series does in two or three seasons. I would have preferred two seasons, but I know it has already been approved for a third season. I just don't expect that they will match the first season. They could have easily wrapped it up in one season but they obviously wrote the ending with a desire to keep going.

Oh, and one advantage of being so late to the party: I don't have to wait very long for Season 2.

I want to say they are only planning 3 seasons. Season one was the fall into the Champions. Season two is the rise back to premier. Season three is the conquering of the premier. Or some such deal.

Great show, Ted is basically young Lou Holtz in the modern world.

Methinks you know nothing about who Lou Holtz really is. He’s a wholesome square who motivated the hell out of his players. Ring a bell?

I believe Sudekis said there is no way he’ll do more than 3 seasons as it’s too much time away from his kids.

That sounds great until they back up the brinks truck full of cash for another season and dump it in his yard.

Hopefully it stays 3 seasons as that’s probably the perfect arc.

I’m sure if the demand is there, the story is right, and the check clears, they’ll work something out for him.

Hell maybe he changes sports again and does minor league baseball or something.

I think you have a nostalgia of of a former SC coach who used to be on espn spitting and slurring his words and couldn't make a full sentence
