Yeah, it was dumb but it looked like one of those spur of the moment decisions to try and gain some trust and sway the vote towards Mike.
I think the other 5 were going to split the vote between him and Ashley anyway, so it ultimately may not have even mattered. I do think he could have done more to sow some chaos among the remaining 5 after playing the idol.

That's the first time I can remember the show not revealing someone found an idol until tribal council. Hell I thought it was fake until Jeff confirmed it.
I'm kinda pulling for Devin at this point. Not one vote against him so for. He's switched alliances 2 or three times and isn't on anyone's radar. He always seems to keep himself right in the middle. There are two people leading the alliance he is in with enough targets below for no one to notice him. More savvy than he's given credit for (unless he is just lucking into prime position in these different alliances) and would like to see him pitch a perfect game

I'm starting to wonder if Ben is trying to become a big A-hole so they keep him around. To me Chrissy is the biggest threat to win it all. She's been calling the shots and winning immunity.

True. It wasn’t a good idea to show the idol before the vote like that, but he voted Ashley, who ultimately went home anyway.

Maybe but you have to remember that the jury is full of people who got voted out by the people that Mike has made a fool of at the last few tribal councils. That’s all the jury sees. Mike has been running the show at the tribal councils and that’s what matters to the jury.

Agreed. I’ve had the feeling all along that Mike was getting the winners edit. They show Ben and Chrissy and Ryan all saying things like “this is Survivor” “this is for a million dollars”, but Mike they constantly show saying things like “how am I going to get to the end” and “how can I use this to my advantage”.
It’s a subtle difference, but I really think they are showing him as the Outwitter.
He would certainly Outlast if he makes it to the end seeing how he was at the bottom after the merge. He has to outplay at some point and win something or find an idol that he doesn’t waste.
Plus, I think a good majority of the jury would live to vote for him over Ben or Chrissy. Taking him to final 3 would be a costly mistake imo.
Btw, not sure if this was ever brought up, but did Desi grow on anyone else? She actually seemed like a really cool, smart, and normal girl. Jury suits her

Finale night. I think Ben wins if he can somehow get to Final 3, but it's a very tall order. Otherwise, I think Chrissy wins. Mike is my darkhorse pick. Ryan has no shot. Devin has a small one, but still a long one. He needs to be sitting next to Mike and Ryan to win.

This season started out mostly slow, but the last 3 episodes have really saved this season and made it enjoyable.
Not a ton of like-able people this year. It's Ben's game if if can somehow get into the vote. The only person I definitely don't want to see win is Chrissy. She has played a game worthy of winning; I just didn't like her personally from the beginning.

I really hope Ben wins it all. I'm not sure he'll make it all the way, but he's been my favorite since the very beginning.

I want Ben to win, but I don’t think he has many friends on the jury. He reminds me of Russell who was finding idols without any clues.

Yep, he had it twice and his nerves got the best of him. I think Chrissy just won the game. So long as the "advantage" doesn't somehow give Ben a chance to survive she has it in the bag. And even then, i still think she beats Ben.
I don't think even Devin can beat her. Which is a shame because Chrissy just might be one of the most unlikable winners in a long time (even if she is deserving)
