yea several of the conversations are pretty much exactly the same conversations I've had with friends

obviously, some more outlandish stuff happens, but hey it's a movie.

Yeah, Superbad feels realistic in terms of those high school interactions.

Exactly.. and the girls in it were realistically good looking. Meanwhile, in other high school movies, every girl is a 25-year-old model.

They def got a lot more right than they got wrong. I loved the whole "certain group ducks into a room to get coked up" and of course the one dirtbag showing up to the party that's burned all his bridges and owes everyone money.

Also the whole "mission" of just trying to get to that party because in your mind those girls lives depend on it, and this night is all about you, no one is getting drunk without you and then you show up and find everyone passed out for the most part, and realize how "not" important you were in the grand scheme of things.

Superbad reminds me of Detroit Rock City, for whatever reason. I like Superbad better, though (and, like you, I like Dazed and Confused even better.)

I agree it holds up.

I still have to say that the dick stopping the tanks on Tiananmen Square is one of the funniest drawings I've seen to this day.

Superbad is awesome. I love this movie so much.

"It's like a division symbol."

"Yeah, it's like ball, dick, ball."

Also, the dick drawings...that was fricking amazing.

"Are you living with Fogell next year?"

"No"

"Good because that guys a frickin anti poon"

The best part is when Fogell is freaking out before buying beer and "should of worn his vest" then Seth is like "WTF are you doing?" I felt like this scenario happened to me.

Just rewatched this comedy, and think it has and will continue to hold up.

Agree. 30 years from now, people should still be able to identify with that movie in some way. Ferris Bueller is still, IMO, the most timeless high school comedy ever made. People today can still identify with Ferris, because Ferris is the guy we all wished we were in high school. Superbad works because Seth and Evan are the guys we actually were in high school.

My favorite part is at the end, way at the end, when Emma Stone has her hair covering her one eye and she looks up at Seth...holy Santa Claus shite, she's hot.
