As for the free movies, it's apparently a repository of every terrible B movie and ripoff made in the last 20 years (with an occasional actual movie [Monster w/ Charleze Theron was on there]).

Definitely know what I am doing if we end up locked down again.

Vudu is where I rent most of my movies, but I’ve never really looked into the free options. They have some gems not on other services?

Iirc, and I may not it's been a while, Monster was one several serial killer movies produced or distributed by a small company. These included Dahmer (starring Jeremy Renner) and Gacy and others. I think Charlize must've signed on and Monster became a big deal because the rest of these were straight to video. I worked at Blockbuster and they may have even been Blockbuster exclusives. I know we had a ton of copies of Monster that we ended up having to destroy. I'm guessing that vudu has a deal with whatever company that was because I see Dahmer is there also.

I usually only rent from VUDU.
Unless Prime has the same movie for a 24 hour longer rental.. 24 vs 48 hour rentals. Some are 72 but not the new ones

There are some gems in the Vudu free movie lineup. One such gem is Flowers of War starring Christian Bale set during the Nanking Massacre.

Most of the foreign movies which I enjoyed were seen via Vudu free movies.

Pro-tip. If have a Vudu account you can use the app to scan a pic of a dvd or bluray that you own from participating studios and it will convert it to a digital copy for between $2 and $5.

If you link your vudu account to Movies Anywhere, it will import your entire digital library from any other linked accounts (Amazon, Google Play Movies, Apple, etc) to your vudu account and vice versa.

Vudu is the best app to buy and rent movies on imo.

Hopefully that will still be the case now that Fandango owns it. It used to be owned by Walmart.
