I thought turtle was much funnier the first few seasons compared to the later ones

I was barley 20 when this originally came out. rewatching the entire series now and I really enjoy it. much better than I remembered.

E gets too much hate, frankly. He has some pretty good retorts to Drama and Ari throughout the series and he is by far the most relatable character.
But I think it probably goes something like this:
1a Ari
1b Sloan
3 Billy Walsh
4 Drama
5 Lloyd
6 E
7 Turtle
8 Vince
Vince is utterly replaceable. He adds nothing to show other than a backdrop upon which the show plays out. I honestly think the show would be just as good if they had replaced Adrian Grenier with a chimpanzee. Maybe better.

Ari in the first season was awesome. They kept trying to humanize him the rest of the show. HBO was trying to make him more acceptable to a mainstream audience.

I never really got the love for Sloan. I mean she's attractive but acting as if she's the mythical OT 10 is over the top.

But one thing I love about this show is how it basically romanticizes the Los Angeles lifestyle when to the average person, it's basically a giant baton rouge with even worse traffic, ridiculous cost of living, more regulations and fake and snobbish people everywhere.

Season 2 Episode 5, Bob Saget. Great episode.

The Vegas/Seth Green episode and Ari's revenge with the paintball gun are the GOATs. The perfect 10 model E fricks is the hottest chick in the series outside of Sloan.

The worse character on the show was easily that stalker chick Ashley that E dated. E going from Sloane to Ashley was probably the most unrealistic thing about the show.
