Star Wars: Clone Wars series

This is a great "cartoon" series, I find it very well done and the stories compelling through season 2.

The episodes I've seen were pretty solid. I watched it a few times last year when I was at the beach with my sister's family (she has 3 young kids). I was shocked at how good characters actually die from getting shot on a cartoon. Seemed a little too real for a kids show but I guess they gotta learn sometime.

I find myself conflicted that they used the clones as cannon fodder to be used and discarded without regard. One episode in season one even deals with this.

I've just started watching this on Netflix for the first time. I am up to season 3 now. Really loving to see things in the SW universe that we didn't before (i.e. Mandalore).
I hate that Obi Wan is so smarmy and dickish, but James Arnold Taylor does a great job with his voice.
Would love to watch Rebels too but I don't get Disney XD.
ETA: one really gets to see how arrogant the Jedi were. It almost makes me root against them.

Definitely makes you root for Anakin more. He's a much better character in this series, and genuinely seems to be a decent dude.

Well they're just picking up where Lucas left off in the prequels. Young Obi Wan is one of the biggest jerks in the galaxy.
This was an unbelievable series to watch and it really made me more forgiving of the prequels.
I really hate that Ahsoka is not a live action character. She should've been in Rogue One. She deserves to be there and imo is one reason out of many why Anakin turned to the dark side. Her growth in 5 seasons was incredible to watch.
Some of the greatest stories here didn't involve Anakin and Obi-Wan. I really enjoyed the stretch with the Jedi traitor Krell and the Clone Troopers. Another one is Yoda learning the ways of the force which really filled in some holes as to how Yoda was able to contract Luke and was in touch with Qui-Gon at the end of episode 3, seeing visions of what is to come in the future and resisting Sidious and Dooku's temptations. Darth Maul and Savage Opress was great to watch as well. They really fleshed him out beyond episode one.
I can't wait until the Rebels series finishes up so I can binge watch it all.

It's a decent show. I would've loved it as a kid, but outside of a few arcs, it has been a slog for me to get through.
