Doing a binge and haven't watched since original showing. This is better than I remembered. Maybe not next gen good or deep space 9, but pretty solid.

Voyager is okay, even good for stretches. Picardo's Doctor is really outstanding.

But, it just pales in comparison to the series that preceded it.

Wut? The Borg storyline was the best part of the show.

It’s the worst of the live action shows, at least until Discovery came along

It's the most frustrating of the Trek shows for me. I really like the characters and overall idea of the show. As for episodes, it has its share of good, but the bad is just so bad that it drags the entire series down a notch.

Most of the episodes around the borg, or even just seven, have been pretty good.

Great concept and some good episodes. But the cast was underwhelming in their roles.

Janeway and Chekotay were strong. Seven was good enough.

Neelix and Kes are the two worst characters in Star Trek.

I’d argue it’s underrated.

Since the show centers around being stranded in a foreign place and attempting to get home, it allows the show to explore some really interesting moral and philosophical questions in ways the other Star Trek shows couldn’t. At its core, the show is about what it means to be human, what humanity’s principles are (or should be), and whether it’s ok for them to change situationally. Many of the episodes leave the more difficult questions unanswered as Janeway makes a decision to advance the plot but then questions that decision later.

There are definitely some hokey episodes. I think the writers got a little carried away with relying on special effects or costumes.

But overall it’s a very smart show, and the end is much more satisfying than the other Star Treks because they accomplish their one mission in pretty interesting fashion.

It’s better than anything that came after it, but is also a very disappointing series, lots of wasted potential.

Once they got rid of Kes, Seska and the Kazon and introduced 7 of nine and the Hirogen is when the show really improved. Even Neelix became more interesting once Kes was gone.

Chakotay was a terribly underused character. He probably suffered the worse when Jeri Ryan came in. It seemed like his only purpose was to stay on the bridge and argue with Janeway about her decisions. Hell, 7 of Nine just said "screw-it" and I'll do it my way anyway.

Paris and Kim's friendship was pretty good.

I really liked B'Elanna Torres. Her piss and vinegar was refreshing. There should have been a lot more 7 of Nine and B'Elanna Torres stories.

Janeway was portrayed to be a "Kirk-like" character in the sense of being a cowboy and not afraid to go rogue, Unfortunately, her conscience, named "Tuvok", kept her from being all ballsy has she could have.

Felt like season 4 was the best with almost every episode being solid. Retrospect I liked. Year of hell episodes, too.

I didn't care for the Tom and B'ellana storylines. I did like Harry though and enjoyed the episodes where he was a central part.

It only got good when Seven of Nine joined the cast. Her acting was great.
