Season 2 is over. Everyone fire up their CBS All Access free trials and binge this season.

It was very well done. And the finale was just awesome.

Too bad they don't air it on a normal platform

7 day free CBS trial on Amazon.

Or get one month for the $7 or whatever.

Maybe down the road, I'll look at that. Prime also has a 30 day Netflix trial, it seems.

But I don't want to binge anything right now, I'm dialed in on GoT and Endgame. Those are my focus for now.

I haven't watched the finale yet but I started catching up on Season 2 a few weeks ago and have really enjoyed it. Captain Pike made a great addition to the cast this season.

I think you will find that the lack of participation on this thread sharing your enthusiasm will sum up what most Trek fans think of this show. I cancelled my All-Access literally right after I watched the last episode and I won't be watching anymore. For those that like the show, good for you. Most of the long term Trek fans that grew up on this show from day one simply aren't on board with these non-canon hybrids that are trying to lure in the MCU geeks and the Star Wars people with 99% FX and 1% story....That's never been Star Trek's bread and butter. The best Star Trek stories have always been heavy story-character driven with very minimal Special Effects.

Also, for a super-secretive entity, Section 31 in this version is all over the damn place.

No.

You have a contingent who hate everything post DS-9 and a contingent who wrap themselves in ST patriotism to rationalize not paying for a streaming service.

Any STOS fan who passed on this Pike season is missing a kick-arse love letter to Roddenberry’s original series.

First, I liked Enterprise and Voyager. While not the best of the canon-based shows they certainly had strong episodes.

Second, I'm fine with paying for streaming services. I Paid to Watch STD for the last two seasons. I cancelled after the first season because It was bad, but signed up again fort he second season to give it another shot and they blew it.

Third: Pike was the only thing that remotely made season two tolerable.

Look, if you like over the top explosions and galactic battles every week then STD is for you. Enjoy.

Lifelong Star Trek here. I guess I don't want to live life with a stick up my arse. I still find myself enjoying these new shows and movies.

The reddit discussions around this show are so pretentious.
