Found your problem. This guy can't even create shitty content. All he can do is carry out the shitty content directives of his masters.

I tried to give this show a chance in S1. It's one of the worst pieces of shite I've watched in recent memory. Your S3 synopsis isn't changing my mind.

Share with us anti-STD's why you think this show is so good. As someone who doesn't like this show I'm interested in what people like you see in this show.

The series shows growth and is willing to morph its theme and atmosphere to improve as it moves along.

Season One started off slow and depressing, but hit its stride with the mirror universe in its second half. The Harry Mudd episodes were particularly good.

Season Two was much better, with the inclusion of Pike and the Enterprise crew. The series touches the original series much better than the recent films have, with Mudd and Talos IV. The reboot films seem to take what they need without paying homage. Discovery has more of a sense of continuation from the original. The standalone episodes have a Next Gen feel to them.

Season three should make the disgruntled fans happy. They've thrown the series far into the future, away from the holy Star Trek TOS. It's all new territory as they try to rebuild Starfleet.

The Star Trek shorts are especially well done. Not sure why anyone would hate on those.

I appreciate your taking the time to make a thoughtful reply. While I don't agree with you position I'm not going to bust your chops because it's the right thing to do.

In the immortal words of "V": "My Turn"

Before 2009 in what I call the "Berman Trek Timeline", a lot of continuing storylines from series finales and TNG movies existed:

DS9:

What happened to a conquered Cardassia? Did they become like a Germany or Japan in the post WW2 era?

What happens to Sisko?

Do the Bajorans now become an established power?

Do the Dominion vanish or just stew for the next revolution? There are a helluva a lot of Jem'Hadar on the other side probably pissed that they loss.

We have a new Klingon Chancellor with Worf at his side. What becomes of the Klingon Empire?

There are a number of "what happened" opportunities from the various cast members.

Voyager:

They just brought back a ship with a ton of alien and future tech that should have easily changed the balance of power. They had a Transphasic torpedo that could take out a Borg Cube with one shot and shield tech that would make every starship invincible.

We know what the "Picardians or the Galaxy" did with Seven of Nine but much better opportunities were completely missed.

The Ship encountered several of new species and some had the ability to hunt Voyager down and create a new menace to the Federation.

TNG:

In Nemisis, Picard saved the Romulan empire from a Reman coups led by his clone. Instead of creating a new détente, new new showrunners blow the fricking empire to smithereens.

I could go on but the point is that instead of continuning the Star Trek Universe with "the Continuing Voyages" they decided to retcon the last 50 years by rewriting TOS in a new image that isn't selling. They should have figure out that was a bad move with the failure of "Enterprise"

I feel that Lower Decks expanded on this, between STD and Lower Decks, Lower Decks feel more like the idea that should have been adapted to live television and discovery a slap stick comedy.

First, they wanted an SJW person. Well there you got Black Captain and the Main character is an ensign in the lower deck.

Secondly, that ship is a border patrol ship, not exactly made for fighting but much better than the outdated Excelisor.

Third, the dynamic between crews work better and they have each other backs.

I really would have love to see Beckette and her mother relationship be a plot point. Then the dynamic and possible romance between Beckette and Brad is good too. Naturally they would have to tone down the zanieest but between an Ensign that don't want to follow the stupid rules only the good ones, and an by the book guy who wants to get promoted the series was ready for live action.

Add in hot Andorian girl even with the SJW haircut, black engineer whos like mr popular, and others and you have your next star trek right there.

As for your questions, I feel that they answered your question satisfactorily in Star Trek Online game.

As for Voyager, I think towards the end the Borg Adapted to those torpedo's.

AS for the rest, the romulans, well their sun blew up and the Picardian of the Galaxy made it stick...

So yeah, we know their fate there.

I still say by the 26th century, in Enterprise the way Daniels made it sound, all of those powers in the Alpha Quadrants was all federation.

You lose all points when you invoke a video game.

Its the only thing that continue the Star Trek storyline until the abomination that was STD and Picardian of the Galaxy.

Pretty much they had the majority of the Cast from TNG, DS9, and Voyager return to do voice over work. In fact Star Trek Online reunited the DS9 cast to show how everyone was doing int he future, including an awesome Captain Nog, and what happened to the 2800 Dominion ships the Prophet got rid of during the Battle for DS9.

I agree. Part of me wants a continuation, part of me wants a clean break. It's like DC's Crisis on Infinite Earths. I was pissed that they abandoned all of those decades of continuity. Then they started to tap back into that continuity and I wished they'd just leave it alone and quit tarnishing it.

Episode 2 was great. Will knock out episode 3 over the weekend.

Had a nice 7 Samurai / Magnificent 7 feel to it. Good little Western tale.

Well, we find out what happened. Epi 3 major plot point. Earth is no longer part of the Federation. It is now its own separate power with it's own interest. If you ever saw Babylon 5 ,they are pretty much the Earth Alliance.

They also dont give a shite about Discovery or Starfleet, however we do know Starfleet and the Federation have moved away from Earth, for all we know Starfleet is run by the Klingons or Dominion now.

Earth is super advance and hi tech, have at least Dominion level abilities of transporting through shields and instantons' teleporters.

In a way, Rodenberry dream has died. This new Federation will be crafted by Kurtzman and the asian woman writer of STD.

One one hand I like it if the Earth no longer being the cradle of the Federation is a thing but in an alternate universe, but since this is canon, that means this is Trek moving forward.

I think the only person that can gainsay this lore is Paramount if they make another Star Trek.

There's no 'meme' here, just statin' facts.

I'm not even a Trekkie, Trekker, or what ever, I just know Kurtzman Trek is hot steaming garbage. It's pathetic Sci-fi with out any thought or care to the original series, or subsequent spin offs.

They may have a 'plan' for several years, but there won't be anyone watching.

They are actually gaining a new audience. The Woke Audience. Our trek ends in Voyager or Enterprise. The JJ -Kurtzman is trek made for a new audience. Believe it or not , Discovery is what is anchoring CBS access.

The thing is, in any other SCI Fi plot, Discovery would do very well, but Star Trek being burned to the ground like that is weird.

Remember when fans said Deep Space 9 was a bit dark and didn't really feel like Trek? DS9 really aged like fine wine in my opinion, compared to this STD crap that is going to be forgotten and red conned out of cannon.

I'm actually surprise by the resurgance of DS9, I remember people hated it but I loved it, like it was amazingly epic and yet single episodic that felt trek and campy while being brutal at the same time.

It made me questions the very fabric of the Federation and at the end of the day , despite its flaw is still the ideal society.

Wasn’t expecting much this week, a wrap-up to another evil doppelgänger universe two-parter. Then they threw in a great original series call-back. Really well done.

I enjoyed this season so far, except for the heavy handed trans character they shoved down our throats(they/them uttered 10 times in 35 seconds)

The symbiot/gay/lesbian trilogy in engineering is an entertaining trio of infighting. But that boyfriend ghost was the part I hated.

I just started to watch season 1 and believe I am 2 episodes to the end of the season. It seemed to start out decent but now I can not find it in me to finish. Do the seasons after 1 get better or who is the same type of story telling?

Definitely not impressed with season 1.

Once they bring Pike in, it's a different show. He's definitely the best thing the series has going for it.

Season 3 so far isn't as good as 2 with Pike. You can see they're trying to make it better by changing it from prequel to sequel, but it lacks the focus of Season 2.
