I love all of the music from Steel Dragon in Rockstar. Massive amounts of real talent in that fake band. Jason Bonham(Bonham, Led Zeppelin), Jeff Pilson(Dokken), Zakk Wylde(Ozzy, Black Label Society), Jeff Scott Soto(Yngwie, Journey, Sons of Apollo) Miljenko Matijevic(Steelheart), Myles Kennedy(Alter Bridge, Slash's Snakepit).

That song is an absolute classic. The fact that Matt Damon randomly shows up to cameo as the singer only elevates it further

We All Die Young and Fever Dog are awesome picks. And John C. Reilly really sang all of the songs from Walk Hard.

I’m trying to think of some other good songs. Shallow was legit.

They need to make some new comedies with Aldous Snow.

The bigger the cushion, the sweeter the pushin'
That's what I said
The looser the waistband, the deeper the quicksand
Or, so I've read.
My baby fits me like a flesh tuxedo
I love to sink her with my pink torpedo.

Big bottom
Big bottom
Talk about bum cakes
My gal's got 'em.
Big bottom
Drive me out of my mind.
How can I leave this behind?

I saw her on Monday, twas my lucky bun day
You know what I mean.
I love her each weekday, each velvety cheek day
You know what I mean.
My love gun's loaded and she's in my sights
Big game's waiting there inside her tights.

Big bottom
Big bottom
Talk about mud flaps
My gal's got 'em.
Big bottom
Drive me out of my mind.
How can I leave this behind?

While it’s a great song—one of the best of the 80s—it doesn’t fit the category. It was a top ten Billboard hit (#6) and was ubiquitous on MTV for 1983/84.

I'm Just A Human Being from Fear of a Black Hat
LINK

You are just like me
I'm just a human
I am just like you
I'm just a human
We all stand or sit when we pee
I'm just a human just a human being

When I doo-doo is my shite not brown
It's a universal thing we all flush it down
And when you wipe do you look at the tissue
Most folks do, it ain't even an issue
Hot stuff makes it burn comin out
I bet everyone knows what I'm talkin about
Cause we are all one race on this planet
We all burp and fart, and that's the way God planned it
So don't act like your superior
Eat something bad and just like me you'll get diarrhea
Cause black, white, yellow, red, brown or gold
Our shite all comes from the same little hole

You are just like me
I'm just a human
I am just like you
I'm just a human
We all stand or sit when we pee
I'm just a human just a human being

Hard Out Here for a Pimp from Hustle and Flow was really good and I think Terrence Howard and Taraji Henson did a really good job with it as well.

Also, Man of Constant Sorrow from o Brother was great. When the camera first cuts to Clooney stepping up the mic and singing into the can, that was so funny, but so great as well.

LOL

Scottie Doesn't Know is probably tops for me.

On The Dark Side probably got the most play though.

This falls into the "Shallow" category and is, in my opinion, unfortunately disqualified.

But its 1000X better than Shallow. Such a banger
