Spider-Man : Across the Spiderverse
Posted by imAMAZING on 6/1/23 at 9:11 pm407
Just saw it...the first one was considered one of the greatest comic book movies ever made. I didnt think it was possible but it outdid the first one. The story, graphics everything was amazing. Its a must see in theaters with dolby or imax

Will be the first theater experience for two of my kiddos. They grew up watching part 1 and still do to this day.
It's a pretty long one so it'll be interesting to see how bathroom breaks go lol can't wait for this one though!

If there's a better one, I don't know what it could be.
I don't understand how anyone could argue otherwise. Certainly as an animated movie, it's fantastic.

I went into the first one w/ no expectations or even an understanding of what it was other than another spiderman movie. That is such a great way to see a movie.

We saw it last night, it was pretty amazing but not sure how to compare it to original. Solid flick.

Just got out. Loved it. Can't wait to see it again.

I'm mostly out on multiverses. I didn't see Dr Strange, I didn't see the last Ant-Man. I did enjoy the last Tom Holland Spider-Man and liked it and I liked Everything Everywhere All at Once. Maybe it's not multiverses I'm out on but what I think of as bad storytelling.
I think my biggest hurdle with marvel at this point is how much I'm supposed to know coming in to a movie. For this I only needed to know Into the Spiderverse.

We loved the first one but that was before I was tired of the mindfrick of multiverses. I heard they go even harder on that in this one. Those of you who saw it have any feelings on that?
The villain in this one is funny, and played by Jason Schwartzman… he’s the key.
The multiverse is 100000% of this movie, but it’s funny and has intent. There is a Lego universe. A t-Rex spidey. And more.
My only complaint is that it is long. I don’t understand why people can’t edit anymore, this didn’t need to be 2 hours.

It is no Empire to Star Wars but a great comic flick with good narrative. Maybe not as re-watchable as the first but still worth a ticket ASAP

And it's looking like it's going to have as big, or bigger, global box office than the Mermaid movie.
This is in 3 days, not 4, and on almost 1/3rd of the budget.

Saw it with my son last night. Will watch again on somewhat slow mo with subtitles to catch all of the countless Easter eggs and nostalgic references. We loved it.

Hoping to see it this weekend. Loved the first one. I am hearing this is a bit longer than it needs to be but overall it hits on many notes.
I guess the same “ists” who review bombed The Little Mermaid are taking the week off?

It did everything right, while doing the Miles Morales story totally different.
But it was a damn clinic in moviemaking
