First I have ever heard of Capers Island
It is a barrier uninhabited island out past isle of palms.....it is a redneck summer weekend party spot....they would not fit in on the weekends, straight pbr crowd.....

The house they used for filming the party at the end of tonight’s episode belongs to an LSU alum and his wife. He and my husband were friends growing up and went to high school together in BR. We visited them a couple of years ago.

Not sure. My husband is on the phone with him now. Didn’t sound like it was a great experience for them, but I don’t have the details yet. They’re talking about other stuff now. Knowing my husband, he won’t remember half the stuff he told him.

The new black chick was brought on just to stir shite up......a few episodes before she was introduced to this group and she is now telling every how they should process what others say......

First off, it’s not true that they are friends with Pringle’s parents. Their home has been used in the past for weddings and events, so he thinks they may have discovered the home that way. Filming lasted for two days and they were not allowed to stay, so they stayed with some neighbors. Bravo gave them $5k/day for use of property. Bravo called to say they were done, but when he and his wife went home they discovered they had left some camera equipment and other stuff behind. He called them and they said they would be by to pick everything up. He went back to neighbors. When the family returned home the next day, trash and beer bottles were everywhere. Dresser drawers had been rifled threw. He also has a dummy safe in the house that they were able to open and those contents were gone through, but nothing stolen. He called Bravo back to say WTF. He figures either the camera crew came back and had a party or some of the cast. Bravo offered him another $5K, then tried to weasel out of it, but they eventually paid up.

The arrangement isn't unusual, but the way Austin was selling it in the episode I watched was weird. He kept referring to is as "my beer" and it sounds like the brewery formulated the recipe and brewed it. The way he phrased it, I had assumed he was a homebrewer and had created a recipe and sought a brewery to upscale the recipe, brew it, and distribute. Sounds more like he just slapped his name on a beer they formulated and produced. Again, not an unusual arrangement, but the show did a poor job communicating the arrangement.

They decided to go woke and it sucks. What was great about this show was Cameron when she would get drunk was just fun and liked to party. That whole episode on the island was just pure shite show and so staged it was cringe. Going to watch last night's episode today. Hope it's better.
