Or is DC and Warner Bros still going to shoot themselves in the foot by continuing to allow that one trick pony fat hack to keep his job and continue to run the most celebrated and famous comic book characters in human history straight into the ground?

They should've fired Snyder after BvS bombed. He's single handedly responsible for leaving hundreds of millions of dollars on the table for DC. There's no reason why MoS and BvS shouldn't make a billion dollars and they never came close.

Yeah I know, they spent $600 million advertising it and every movie ever made has lost money according to Hollywood accounting. In the real world though, it actually made a lot of money and was far from a bomb.

Uh, it was absolutely a bomb. They were expecting to make a shite ton more than that.

Dude, Batman and Superman are the two most famous comic book characters in history. There's no reason why BvS couldn't have made close to 1.5 billion. Hell, if they had a fantastic director and writer, they could've made a play for 2 billion.

FFS, Marvel has made billion dollar movies with characters that are not as well known or powerful/deadly as Superman and Batman.

Word of mouth determines a movie's earning potential and that's what made sure BvS and MoS never touched a billion.

A movie would have to actually lose money to be a bomb. BvS was highly profitable. This idea that every big movie has to make a billion dollars or its a failure is silly.

I'll beat this dead horse as much as I want because I am pissed the frick off that they wasted hundreds of millions of dollars, several years, three movies and the most well cast Superman since Christopher Reeve in Henry Cavill by giving the keys to a hack like Snyder who only knows how to make shitty moody disaster porn.

Zack Snyder would be the WOAT hire as far as comic book movies go if Joel Schumacher didn't exist.

They barely made back the money they spent on the budget.

Every movie? No.

A movie that has the two most famous comic book characters in history on the big screen together for the first time ever? That fricker better be making a billion dollars.

I'm with you. A Batman & Superman movie should've set records.

They grossed over $600 million over the production budget. Do you really think they spent that much on advertising?

DC was actually expecting BvS to be making a billion dollars.

Imagine the shock and meltdown at the corporate offices at Warner Bros when they realized that hiring a guy who only knows how to make shitty disaster porn is not someone you want handling story and character driven movies like comic book movies, especially deep characters like Superman and Batman.

As a non comic book person I can tell you my and many non comic book readers reaction wasn't "Awesome, Batman and Superman in the same movie, shut up and take my money!" It was "WTF are Batman and Superman fighting for?" It's a terrible concept to be the lead off to other movies. It should have been for down the road when they were out of ideas for Justice League sequels.

You know he's done, stop worrying about it. There's great directors in place now.

You know that Warner owns the characters, right?

I'm with you. I hope his vision will be totally removed by the time Shazam starts shooting. They've already kicked me in the balls by being too chickenshit to keep his real name. A Snyder influenced Billy Baston would be a total bummer.

Well, the characters were owned by Time Inc. when Time merged with Warner, so... yes, they got them for free.

It should’ve been a “World’s Finest” type of team up with a more established Batman and Superman.

Snyder was apparently reading All-Star Batman which was supposed to be a lead in to the crapsack world of Returns. He should have been All-Star Superman which is a colorful, hopeful romp through a pastiche of the Golden, Silver, and Modern age stories.

And maybe soon At&T will own them.

I won't lie if WB had the nuts to do a live action BTAS inspired pulpy movie I would bust a nut in the theater.

WB shield fades into a blimp. Horns blare

"I need a carton of napkins!"
