Very hit and miss. Zillow, It Gets Better, and Universal Studio Tour skits were good, Weekend Update ok. Rest was pretty bad.

Will still be on Wokeism. Would they actually hire a funny person like say Tim Dillon if it offends their sensibilities? I’d say no. When Kate McKinnon leaves the cast, they’re fricked six ways from Sunday. And it’s not that Kate is funny just that she’s a great performer and has a bright future in acting. Once she’s gone they’re totally fricked since they’ve let her acting talent fool people that they’re funny. I can’t see SNL lasting another 10 years.

I don’t know that she has a future in acting. The times I’ve seen her act in a movie for example “Yesterday” - she still tried to play an over the top character that would only be funny in a 2 and a half minute live sketch.

Maybe she’ll get better but I don’t see what she does (which she is great at ) translating successfully to other mediums.

This is how I've always seen SNL, even during what I consider the glory years of Belushi, Aykroyd, Gilda and the rest. Even back then some of the skits were great and some of them were pretty meh to downright awful.

I watched a few minutes of it and nobody on that show is funny to me. Their timing is terrible and while some of the writing isn't horrible they just aren't funny delivering the lines. Daniel Levy is funnier and a more natural performer than anybody that show has had since the Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader era

Agreed. It takes the humor out of everything and makes it unenjoyable.

If there really is a funny sketch can just watch it on YouTube, not worth sitting down to watch the whole show. An entire industry (SNL, late night shows, actors/actresses, musicians, etc) was just so ate up with Trump butthurt.

The fact that the last few weeks have supposedly been funny/good (according to theads on here) shows it all to be true as well. It took OMB to be gone for them to get back to comedy? Sad
