SIAP: DC streaming service all but shut down

All sorts of nails on that coffin.
It looks like, aside from Stargirl, the DC Streaming originals are all going to HBO Max.

The majority of staff of the streaming service DC Universe has been laid off, as has editor-in-chief Bob Harras and multiple other executives on the publishing side.
Monday's WarnerMedia layoffs have affected a significant number of high-level figures at comic book powerhouse DC, multiple sources tell The Hollywood Reporter.
Among those said to be losing their positions are editor-in-chief Bob Harris, senior VP of publishing strategy and support services Hank Kanalz, VP of marketing and creative services Jonah Weiland, VP global publishing initiatives and digital strategy Bobbie Chase, senior story editor Brian Cunningham, and executive editor Mark Doyle, who oversaw the rollout of the Black Label graphic novels. Jim Lee remains the CCO.

Sometimes I think you must be announcing your own desires.
The shows have been moved to one streaming service from another, and that would not have happened had there been more trans people?

While we're moving stuff, can we move HBO Max to Roku?

That will probably happen in upcoming episodes of Stargirl after CW gets their claws into it.

I've been a subscriber from the start (two years ago, when everyone said it couldn't work, then Swamp Thing was "cancelled" and that was the final nail, then they stopped the live chat shows and that was the final nail, then Harley showed on SyFy and that was the final nail, then Doom Patrol showed simultaneously on HBO Max and that was the final nail, then Stargirl had showings on CW and that was the final nail...).
Whether it lasts another month or another year, it'll be a shame to see it go. I doubt that we'll get another platform that is so perfectly geared to superhero comic fans. The fact that the comic that a movie or episode was based on pops up over the credits, allowing you to click and read the comic then and there, shows that the people behind the service were doing everything to get users really interested in DC comics.
I doubt that they'll move the entire video library to HBO Max. Which is a shame, because the remastered 70's Shazam series and the DC Shorts from Cartoon Network deserve a good home. That's just the tip of the obscure iceberg that made the video selection so deep and awesome.
I'd pay $7.99 a month just for the comics. It'll suck if they built up that awesome library just to put it back on the shelf.

I paid for a whole year a few months ago. Boo.

I thought HBO absorbed all the DC properties and the DC streaming shows?

HBO Max mostly features DC films and animated features. Very few series. DC Universe is much deeper with animated and live-action series and animated shorts.

I don't know why they wouldn't port those properties over to HBO max. There's no reason for max to not keep that DC sub banner, and Warner owns all that content anyway. But how often do these companies do what makes the most sense?
