Serenity getting terrible reviews :(

Was really pumped for this one after seeing the trailer a few months ago and have been waiting eagerly for it. I knew something was up when they waited till the day of release to show the reviews
Trailer for those who haven’t heard of it which is understandable because they didn’t market it very hard
Currently 22% on RT
I’m still going to go see it probably Sunday

I saw the trailer awhile back and it looked like a mess then. Anne Hathaway makes me wants to see it though. I got the feeling it wasn't good when she couldn't tell some talk show host what the movie was about

The director produced/wrote Eastern Promises, Locke, and Peaky Blinders which were all great. Combine that with the all stat cast, I had high hopes

I just read a couple of reviews. Yikes. Scathing. Ripped to shreds. Leave 15 minutes in bad. Wow. That's disappointing.

I think MM had his period to show everyone that he can act if he wants to, and now is back to just having fun with it
Hathaway talked about how hammered she got with MM on set, and the beach bum movie looks more in that wheel house. He might just be taking checks and partying now
