Is it nuts that the entire premise of Seinfeld's finale is fairly common today?

People tape crimes daily with no recourse. They can actually be rewarded for that. Not to mention an entire summer of taping public destruction.

Has culture inherited the bad morals of the Seinfeld 4?

That episode didn't really do a good job of explaining Good Samaritan laws. It made it seem like you would be liable for failing to act in those situations.

In reality, GS laws commonly provide legal protection to people who, in good faith, act when they believe some one is injured or in peril.

I'm just saying that while the episode makes Good Samaritan laws out to be Orwellian "thoughtcrime" laws, they're really more just civil liability protection to people who act to help others in dire situations.

I mean...the whole premise of the episode is over the top and insane. Would any serious prosecutor have called upon character witnesses to nail Senfield and company? Any good defense attorney would have shut that shite down. But it's a sitcom and thus some of the scenarios are expected to be over the top.

The finale is lame because its not a real episode.

Why they felt the need to bring back everybody in a ham fisted way was just lazy.

Every minor character just came back and their shtick or catchphrase. And then took a dump on the entire show. Saying you wasted your time to the viewer.

I mean you had to roll your eyes when they bring back such a minor character as Babu and he says on the witness stand....Jerry is a very bad man.

Yeah we know Baby, you've said it enough, go back to Pakistan and write a better finale for Larry and Jerry.

The point of the finale was those four were always bad people but viewers liked them so much they forgot they were horrible people. It was to remind you they’re bad and you’re not supposed to be like them. Seinfeld was way more subtle than It’s Always Sunny where they’re so over the top you can’t forget they’re horrible people.

Right it’s a clip show and they had done a clip show the episode before.

Seinfeld is like It's Always Sunny in that when they do an episode that's not in the bar it's not as good to me. Being in a courtroom and a random town instead of Jerry's apartment made it feel weird
