I've seen all of them multiple times and SM3 is the one I laugh at the most. They're all great films but 3 is the best. This is just one great scene:

Yeah I'd rank them 3, 2, 1.

I do like the crash scene, but I prefer 2 and 1, in that order.

Take my strong hand!

Watch my fanny!

I still quote 2 a lot. Like once a week. I do like 3 better though, having Charlie Sheen in the movie and doing a good job made it better for me. I grew up watching the Hot Shots movies all the time.

The 2nd is my personal favorite. The 3rd is a close second and lastly it's the first. (Don't get me wrong, I love the first scary movie as well. It's just a great comedy trilogy)

I like to pretend 4 was never made.

3 wins by having the Airplane callback at the end.

I laughed my arse off, while first wife (who never watched the original airplane) didn't get it at all.

Craig Mazin, the writer and producer of Chernobyl, was the writer for Scary Movie 3 hah

I loved that they added Charlie Sheen into these movies since I too had grown up on the Hot Shots franchise as well as Naked Gun, it just worked so well.

2 and 3 are neck and neck. 3 has the Signs accident callback that is still one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. “Tom, I’ll need a ride home.” And the wake scene where the guy with the blurred face is just casually talking with people. “Oh that’s Ralph, he’s over there.”
