Speaking of which, I know it's just a tv show but she drank like a half gallon of vodka in the car and was planning to buy more, with seemingly zero ill effects and drove home after. Come the frick on
I'm assuming she passed out for several hours. Otherwise, yeah, had the same thought cross my mind.

Can someone tell me why it’s good to pay an extra 100k to REO Speedwagon to launder money?
How is that a good thing to just give away 100k?
Laundering money is the opposite of tax evasion. With the latter you are taking money that is there and attempting to make it appear like it was never there. With the former, you are taking illegal money and finding ways to make it appear in various legal streams.
I'm no expert at it, but I think many people confuse the concepts.

What was Helen’s play with the fake confession? Was she going to forge it and show it to Navarro in order to get he and Wendy executed? That’ seems like a really risky/stupid thing to do.
Yeah, I wasn't buying that either.

The only thing i didn’t care for was Jonah’s connection to Ben. It felt a little forced.
Agreed.
The Jonah/old man relationship felt very real. Had more time to percolate. Jonah/Ben was definitely forced, not entirely believable.

I thought this was the best season. OMFG I love Ruthie. The last scene was amazing. Methinks they might have greenlit a S4.
I feel it was the best season as well. I also think they could've done a few more episodes but I guess that will be saved up for Season 4.
Wasn't surprised about Helen. Had to figure they wouldn't kill Marty or Wendy.

The old lady and Wyatt was a big stretch. Come on

Imo They were going to pay REO speedwagon 100k extra and the band was going to buy the backstage spread and other expenses from the casino. Instead of the casino providing it for them. Now the casino has an invoice to support the money.

Cameraman who posts on another forum even has announced the months filming will be. If I recall correctly it is fall into winter later this year. Season 4 is a no-brainer.

Honestly my only real complaint is how they handled Ben,
His story arch was the only thing I gave a shite about. Incredible acting from that guy.
Nothing Ruth did this season made a lick of sense. She went from being this street smart badass to being dumb and easily manipulated by Wyatt and Darlene.
How is everything Marty and Wendy’s fault? That family were a bunch of criminals before the Byrde family ever showed up.
Ruth’s facial expressions are ridiculous. Watch that scene with her and Wendy and just watch her face. WTF?!
Ruth killed both her uncles, and got the love of her life killed because she didn’t listen to the person who knew him best. In fact, she went directly against every single thing that would still have that dude alive. Also, wasn’t her dad physically and sexually abusive to her?
Marty has a fricking cartel backing him and can’t touch the KC mob, but Darlene drives in there alone and makes a deal with the boss after shooting his son’s dick off? Doesn’t make sense. Darlene and Ruth should 100% be dead right now.
Wendy was ruined as a character the second they decided they were going in the direction of her running shite. Terrible decision. Watched every episode hoping she would get taken out. Single best part of the season was the therapy scene with Marty saying literally every single thing I was thinking about the Wendy character.
Do people just immediately call whatever they just watched the best show or season or whatever? I thought the last episode was terrible until the last second, when they finally had a main character get got. Also, I thought Jonah shot cause he heard someone behind him.

Guessing the Coronavirus could change that and we could be 2 years away from the next season.

Some longer than others...

I watch Ozark because I find the show to be highly entertaining. It entertains me despite being a mediocre series.
Throughout the history of this show, the writers have continued to create unnecessary scenarios in order to create a character reveal. Case in point, I just finished watching the episode where Navarro has Marty and Wendy purchase interest in a stud farm under the guise of investing in a legit operation. But we discover all Navarro wants is to deball his drug rival's horse which is stabled on this farm.
Now, Navarro could have done precisely that without Marty and Wendy going through the efforts of purchasing an interest in the farm. That whole thing was created just so Wendy could angrily call him and remind him that they are partners and for Navarro to issue his degrading assessment of Wendy and her place in his world.
The purchase of the farm was a ridiculous device in order to create that one conversation. It's entertaining but, as previously stated, mediocre.

Prepare your anus cause this board loves Ruth but I’m with you 100%
There was a radio host Monday saying how over the top Ruth is and her accent is cringeworthy. Couldn’t agree more. Her lines and dialogue are lazy writing. She says F bombs every other word and always yells when it’s uncalled for. She even does it sitting down during an interrogation with the FBI. Come on man
I get she’s white trash and cusses a lot but she’s so overboard with the accent and F bombs I can’t take her seriously.

I didn't think he shot anyone. I thought he was just pissed and shot out the window.
Friend of mine thinks it is foreshadowing Jonah maybe being like his uncle.
Bipolar disorder can run in families after all.
ETA: The Ben thing made me sad. When he broke down crying out of frustration when Wendy was asking "Where can I take you". Man that just really got to me. He screwed up so many times and you could see him trying to make it right...but making it soo much worse. But he so badly wanted to make it better. And Wendy having to realize her brother is a massive liability and go between being the sister that always cared for him and doing what she had to do to protect herself and her husband and children.

Yeah, all the Netflix shows and baseball and football and the Olympics likely to be delayed for an indeterminate amount of time.
Oh yeah, Olympics are 2021 now. I doubt we will have what looks like a normal MLB season or any season for that matter.
Fricking coronavirus!

I just finished the season last night. It was great. I don't understand why people liked the first two but not this one.

From episode 9 to his end, that actor really upped his chops. I loved how they made his collapse a slow burn...we, the viewers, could feel his medicine start to wear off. Just incredible acting and story arch there.
