I haven't seen too much on the board about the show on Showtime, but the previews have caught my attention (we just picked up Showtime with our switch to Uverse).

Worth a watch? Any particular show you'd compare it to?

TIA

Definitely worth watching as long as you like a dark criminal drama it's kinda like a mob type show but it isn't I'm not sure really how to give you a description without giving you spoilers

IT's a better than average show if you can endure his wife and kids.

Yeah I got that impression when I saw the description that he's essentially a "fixer". And I enjoyed The Wire, Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire, etc so I'm not opposed to dark and gritty on the other side of the law.

I find it better than better than average. The wife and kids do come across as little bitches and is expected given what RD does in daily life, but it is the craziness, chronic meddling and narcissism of Jon Voight that really sets the show off. Would definitely watch if OP.

I really liked it.

It is the only reason that I miss not having Showtime anymore.

I've only seen the first two seasons but I really like it. I'm gonna watch season three probably this week so that way I'll be caught up when the fourth begins.

Hell Yay! At its core, it's a family drama with lots of secrets and bad blood amongst a host of colorful characters. Ray's work and family life aren't all that different; he's always fixing other people's frickups, but he's a lot more successful at his job, to put it mildly.
