Anybody watching this? Wife and just watched the first 4 episodes. A great modern take on the Norse mythology. Darker and different from the Marvel spin. A slow-burner, some things you’ll guess, some names are familiar, a lot of foreshadowing, and the Norwegian setting is absolutely gorgeous.

I finished it a couple of days ago.
Enjoyed it, heavy on the save the environment angle but understandable with that setting

I enjoyed it. Finished the season last night. Thought it was done well.
Many will likely gripe about the environment stuff being political, which it is in a way, but it's entirely necessary for the storyline

Binged the entire series today after watching an episode last night. Loved it and it just gets better and better. Can’t wait for next season.

This are gaints, not humans, not immortals etc.
Maybe they should have had the ability to morph etc. The fights are weak because of the lack of effects.

I stumbled upon it yesterday and binged it.
It was interesting. You know the direction it was going but how they got you there was a nice build-up.
The major problem I had with it was the CC not matching the V/O's. I had the CC on because there were a few times in the first episode I couldn't understand what they were saying and then I find that the captioning is often "in the ballpark". It got better in the latter episodes but still... If you're the person that does CC you have one job...

Yup. I have no issues with them using the environmental theme, because in this case it fits and is integral to story.
As opposed to jammed in to a plot for virtue signaling reasons alone.

agreed..it was solid. Hope funding increases for season 2 as there is a lot of potential here.

Fwiw there seems to be a ton of Netflix produced foreign content in a similar vein. I’ve seen a couple different “superhero” type shows while scrolling through. Seems like they are cashing in on the new comic book obsession in their own way
