quote:

“I just had dinner with Uma Thurman last night,” Tarantino said. “We were at a really cool Japanese restaurant. I do have an idea of what I would do with ['Kill Bill Vol. 3']. That was the whole thing, conquering the concept. What has happened to The Bride since then? And what do I want to do?”

quote:

“I didn’t just want to come up with some cockamamie adventure. [The character] doesn’t deserve that,” Tarantino explained. “The Bride has fought long and hard. I have an idea now that could be interesting. I still wouldn’t do it for a little bit. It would be at least three years from now. It is definitely in the cards.”

I loved the KB movies. I know QT is a love/hate type of guy and there are times I think he's brilliant and other times a total dickhead...

Anyway, he's saying that's he's at least 3 years out. I imagine "The Bride" might be the target of Vernita Green's daughter who witnessed Kiddo kill here mom and invited her to come looking for her when she's grown up...

It will be hard to top the first volume

I doubt it. Isn't he still trying to do Star Trek too?

There's a bunch of movies he says he wants to make. I would take this with a grain of salt. KB3 has been rumored for a while though.

I remember in high school I saved my money to see The Who during their last concert tour in 1982... I have seen them 7 more times, most recently in September... 37 years later.

QT will be making movies for a long time, whether he thinks he will now or not. He is what mid-50s?

Perhaps I’m about to commit blasphemy against a sacred cow to some...

But I don’t get the appeal of the Kill Bill films.

They seem to be the very definition of trying to hard.

The thing I didn’t like about them was Bill himself. The dude talked too damn much, too much unnecessary dialogue. I wanted to take his flute and shove it down his fricking throat.

Like you wanted to "Kill Bill"?

He was the villain...

I think I’d rather a prequel showing the early days of The Deadly Viper Assassination Squad and Snake Charmer, but this could be good too.

The Bills was his best work by far.

certainly would be cool except uma Thurman has aged out of that role. Only thing she can be now is an older Bride with an older daughter I suppose

Right there with you. No desire to rewatch either of them which is rare for me with Tarantino.

Kill Bill is one of those films that I like to call great story in a bad movie.

Kill Bill on paper is actually a really great revenge tale. But then Tarantino has to get in there and muck it up with dialogue that really doesn’t fit and just doesn’t work.

For a guy known for his great writing of dialogue, he really shite the bed on this one.

I would prefer that he tackle a different genre.

For me, the appeal of his movies have been the stylistic approach to storytelling in a way that engages my mind to either anticipate what may follow, or simply appreciate the artistry of his execution.

In my opinion, there’s no void that needs to be filled by yet another Kill Bill movie. When I first saw Kill Bill I was underwhelmed. It seemed to have the storyline and choreography that mostly resonates with the imagination of teenage boys. But I think that’s the nature of the martial arts genre. So I was hoping he would be one and done with it.

He might as well call the next one Overkill Bill.
