That first Edna Karr game was so good.

I don't think he would have ever played a down at Bama. He might be a star at Maryland.

Agreed. Lance LeGendre was my favorite QB. He seemed to be a really good kid on and off the field.

You're probably right.

I will certainly be pulling for him.

I wonder what Rattler did. I’ve read where a lot of people believe he was caught with a fellow student, but his father says it wasn’t drugs or sex.

He was caught smoking weed, multiple times.

Finished the season last night, and it was definitely my favorite season so far. Season 2 was awful, and none of the QBs had any Moxy.

I thought Rattler came off as a huge douche, but the kid can play QB. It’ll be interesting to see if he can get the starting job at OU next season. He might be a little under sized.

I don’t see Nic doing anything. He’s small, and arrogant. He has heart, but that’ll only get you so far.

Lance was by far the best part of the season, and it was nice to see NOLA football get some love. I hope he gets a ton of time in Maryland.

Overall a great season, and so glad Netflix took over the show completely.

This was definitely the best season. I must have a higher tolerance for "douchebaggery" as I didn't find Rattler or Scalza to be anything too crazy. They are elite 18yr old QBs in "bro" states it could have been much worse.

Rattler definitely seemed like he was the best of the 3 qbs, hard not to root for the Nola team in general. The pump up speech before Curtis was pretty epic, and then they got destroyed . I remember reading the news after Milton pounded that Florida school from last year. Also interested to see how Rattler's backup turns out.

This - we were all douchebags when we were 18, and we sure as hell didn't have cameras following us around 24/7.

Yeah that's my thinking... it is very hard not to be a douchebag at that age

You really see the “nurture” aspect in these Netflix football shows. I remember thinking Malik was the biggest a-hole til his dad came down and when we were introduced to his dad I felt bad for the kid. I forgot why honestly, but you see the same here some. Rattler and Henry seem fairly similar to me, the difference being I’ve never seen anyone on any of these shows have the arm talent of Rattler. Nik is just a version of his dad, the dad even says as much. The dad perceives all of his regrets/fond memories and forces Nik past the point of safety like when Nik’s crazy arse finishes that playoff game with a completely torn ACL. Legendre’s decisions are heavily influenced by the previous Easton players and current coaches.

It’s easy to say if Legendre had Nik’s toughness, Easton likely wins that game last year, but he’s got so much extra weight to carry as he hopes to be the one to get his family out of NOLA.

Side note: thought Netflix made NOLA look great in this season. The overhead shots of the the city in that vibrant color made NOLA look beautiful aesthetically. They also didn’t just pound the “need to get out of NOLA” from the family. Heard it once or twice, but it was more I need to get away from HERE, and that here could be any poverty stricken area in any city.

Can any of you LA folks give me a little detail on Easton HS? It doesn’t look like a mega-school like Hoover or anything, but seemed like they were loaded with D1 talent. What division do they play in and how good are they historically?

Binged the series this weekend.... really really enjoyed it. Nik's dad was the only one in the show that I didn't care for. Nik seemed like a decent kid that got the most out of his 3 star talent.

Lance was a really likable kid, but I'm glad they had subtitles cause I couldn't understand a word he said. I really enjoyed the small interactions they showed with him and his little brother and sister. Those little nuggets alone make me want to pull for him.

Rattler is a helluva talent, but I have a hard time respecting him, his parents and coaches for how they initially handled his suspension. Glad they finally acknowledged that he was actually suspended but wish they didn't get to hide behind whatever confidentiality rule they're using to mask his trangression.

I liked his backup, JD Johnson. He is a 2020 3* who is committed to Michigan.
