I was hoping they were setting something like this up with Richard's....
SPOILERS
rise through the ranks in Illinois (or wherever the hell he was at). Instead they did the jump ahead to Selina's funeral, although I guess they could always do a new VEEP focusing on Jonah. They could simply do what they did before and have all communication with POTUS through phone calls and intern-delivered messages. The series could show Jonah's downfall and impeachment with Richard becoming President at some point.

Really liked the ending. Loved the Mike reporting about Tom Hanks’ death, great throwback to the pilot.

I missed that this was a throwback. I've only watched each episode once during original airing, so I forgot about a lot of the stuff from early seasons. I was even caught off guard by Selina's receptionist making an appearance at the end of the finale, because it's been a while since we've seen her.

It was a great wrap up with Selina. The shot of her in the oval and none of the original people there to converse she felt lonely for just a moment. She was a horrible human being who cared about no one other than herself and that’s how they played it out. Thought it was great
