I remember my Mom getting me the DVD set for Christmas in the early 2000s for $100. I had actually taken out the set this weekend and planned on rewatching it soon but I'll wait for the bluray order to come in.

If you're thinking, "I subscribe to HBO, they'll always have BoB available for me." Companies get sold, policies change. I'd buy the DVD set.

Don't want to be "that guy" who constantly brings up SJWism, but The Pacific is jam-packed with racial slurs. It could easily be a program that HBO decides to pull permanently from streaming in the future.

Off the top of my head, I don't know of anything in BoB that could cause a stir to have it pulled from streaming. Some people might cause a fuss over the depiction of the treatment of women in some scenes...obviously, they would be idiots because those scenes would be historically accurate. But they would make a fuss nonetheless.

I just rewatched band of brothers and the pacific, they’re fricking awesome. For some reason I keep thinking the pacific is better even though I know I’ll get flack from pretty much everyone!

They both have certain aspects done better. Pacific gets shite on, but I don't think it's far off from BoB. Maybe it's because BoB came out when I was 6 or so and I saw Pacific first.

Yeah same, I must have some bias because I watched the Pacific when it came out and didn’t know about BoB at the time.

This is what really scares me. Artistic censorship. So easy with an all streaming world. They can even start editing and cutting out “problematic scenes and language”

For anyone who hasn't ordered the Blue Ray, The History Channel is showing all 10 episodes of Band of Brothers Friday from 7am to 9:51 pm.

History Channel schedule for Friday Nov. 27th

I was Goggling trying to find an article, or at least a link, telling about BoB being on History Channel Friday. Found nothing like that, but did find out they have a printable study guide for each episode.

Study guide for episode 1 Band of Brothers

Funny, marathoning Band of Brothers isn’t something I do every Thanksgiving, but it is something I’ve done before.

I guess it is just a wholesome series and since everyone has Thursday and Friday off, it’s a good time to sit down with the family and binge the episodes.

It's a series that I'll "Just put the first episode on as background noise as I work". Then I end up sitting and watching the entire series.
