Pedro Pascal Cast as Joel In “The Last Of Us” HBO Series

It gets even better. Ramsey will be joined by her “Game of Thrones” co-star Pedro Pascal, who has not only been absolutely killer on Disney+’s “Mandalorian” series, but was also dynamite in Warner Bros. and HBO Max’s Wonder Woman 1984.
Pascal will play the lead role of Joel, “a hardened survivor who is hired to smuggle Ellie (Ramsey), a 14-year-old girl, out of an oppressive quarantine zone. What starts as a small job soon becomes a brutal, heartbreaking journey, as they both must traverse across the U.S. and depend on each other for survival.”

Seriously?? Holy shite. Now I am even more pumped about it. Chernobyl is one of the best things HBO has ever done. It's that awesome.

I made a thread about it months ago and everyone was like “meh, sounds like Walking Dead on HBO.”
I’m pumped, personally. I think Pedro Pascal is great for this role. I honestly forgot he was in Game of Thrones, feels like a decade ago that he got his eyes popped out by the Mountain. He was fantastic in Narcos though, which I think is a similar role tone-wise to The Last of Us.
I think Kaitlyn Dever would have been the perfect Ellie, but I’m willing to give young Lyanna Mormont a chance.
