The final season will be split into two 7-episode parts.

No release date yet.

It’s good news. And it’s time for this story to come to an end.

Yeah, this show couldn't just go on and on for X numbers of new seasons. There was no way to keep it fresh. So I'm fired up that they will close it for all of us. I am also one who while enjoying S3, I didn't think it was as good as the two previous.

This. It was a fricking struggle. announcing this next season will be the last is the only way they’re going to get me to watch it.

Season 3 was excellent. The acting from Wendy and her brother alone were worth all the episodes and should get nominations/awards. The final 10 seconds alone was enough to make the season worth it, for me. I do think it is time to bow out, though. They can’t keep digging out of trouble (and there has to be trouble for a show, otherwise what’s the point?) in this situation forever and ever. Either they all go down or they find a way out (or a mix) and I’m excited to see how it plays out.

I agree. They've killed all the best characters, I didn't like the casino basically being the whole new setting, whatever in the hell that Darlene sex thing was, and Ruth was unbearable

Precisely. I saw early reporting from Chris Munday that envisioned it as a four to seven season show. Well season 4 is really a season and a half almost so the show got more than 4 full season. And for me the dodging and weaving and near misses and crotch shotgun targets had become a little gratuitous. And my favorite character didn't make it to season 3.

hell yeah. i greatly prefer when shows have a definitive ending. 4 seasons is a good length cause i also hate when great shows end too early. im pumped
