It went downhill after season 3.
There's better stuff out there. They should've just stopped once she burnt down her house.

Not nearly as good but you may as well finish it.

My vote is no. I made it through season five and quit somewhere in the middle of season six. The first three seasons are awesome, though.

All that was good about Weeds left with Zooey Deschanel

When I read the thread title I thought, "might as well finish, it's the last season. Just get some closure."

Then I saw this:

quote:

Just didn't know if season 7 and 8 were worth it

And I remembered it kept going and going. Just cut bait and run, read wikipedia summary if you need the closure. Show really fell off the rails.

No. I got tired of it after season 4. It gets ridiculous and Nancy becomes really really annoying.

Oh not at all. I pushed through till the end just because I felt invested and obligated. The series finale is maybe the worst episode of television ever. It is all so contrived and forced and artificial and pretentious and preachy and lame. And worst of all it is no longer funny at all. I'd almost say that the only reason to finish it is to see just how horrible it is.

I liked pretty much everything except the series finale. The last season had some duds for sure, but I think I liked the later seasons a little more than most.

I never stuck it out until the end. Just got curious and read the synopsis for the finale. Not sad I missed it, or the last season or two. Can't remember where I left off, tbh.

The time to cut bait on that series is right around the time you realize Nancy Botwin is an awful, awful person. Which is right at the end of season three.
My wife watched it to the end, because she's a completist. I checked out long before that. The shite in Mexico forced me to go -- season 5 maybe?

I kept watching hoping Nancy would get murdered. It wasn't worth watching though.

Rewatching the pilot and Celia just told Nancy that if Shane and Silas didn't talk about Judah's death, they would become screwed up adults. Talk about foreshadowing.
