When Vision goes up to Agnes and the neighbor at the end and they are talking about Geraldine they kept saying ‘she’s new’ or something and then they both tried to tell Vision something like “We’re all...” but never finished the sentence.

Was the last word maybe “dead”? Like “We’re all dead”? And Geraldine didn’t fit because she was alive?

It is somewhat intriguing, but I think the story they are going for could be way, way more interesting without the sitcom tv angle. At least for my tasted it would be.

Overall, it comes off as a pretty mediocre effort thus far because of my lack of enjoyment of the sitcom tv shite - the actors are great in it, but just not something I am really drawn too.

I like the the intrigue of the behind the scenes shite, but they are really slow playing it and that crossed with the sitcom shite just isn't working for me very well.

Thus far, this isn't something I will rewatch

Lol for real. People act like someone not liking the first 2 episodes of this series is equal to insulting their children.

I’m still watching, if it improves I’ll give it its props. I like most Marvel stuff. First 2 weren’t for me, it’s ok guys people can have different opinions.

Not liking the first 2 means I’m an idiot that needs immediate action and explosions? Weird take.

I think the thing is, we're being shown something, and we don't know what it is yet.

If the actual concept of the show was to have Wanda spoofing classic sitcoms for no reason (and there was nothing else going on), that would be ... weird. And MOST of us would tap out.

But there IS something else going on, and even early on they are tossing little bits. Vision stays "in character" for the most part, but he questions what's actually happening, at middle levels. He's picking up that something isn't right. Then there's the little radio transmissions, etc. Occasional cutaways to an outside world apparently alarmed by whatever is happening.

Inside, it's somewhat certain that Agnes is at least Wanda's guide, she is introducing Wanda to the village. We don't know what that means.

We're still in the first act, it's hard to make a call on this yet.

And I know that. I know that the first 2 will make more sense and we get more information and I might “appreciate” them more. I don’t think I’ll find them more ENJOYABLE to watch or think they are “good” though, and that’s ok.

Like I said. I like Marvel stuff. I’ve seen all the movies, that’s why I’m continuing to watch. And I DO think the show will improve and I’ll end up liking it. Don’t see why it’s such an abomination or I’m an idiot who needs immediate explosions just because I didn’t like the beginning lol.

Look man, the first two episodes just weren't very good. The series is getting better though. The old school sitcom parody attempt just doesn't work for some of us. And yes, we understand what they are attempting to do. It's just lame as hell.

Cool, but just being clear-

The shows aren't sitcom parody. This isn't Disney+ using Elizabeth Olsen in a reboot of the Bewitched series, and trying to pawn it off on us.

The 'sitcom parody' is WITHIN the MCU main world, Wanda Maximoff is the same character she was in Avengers. And SOMETHING very weird is going on, at a high level. She's either comatose and dreaming, hallucinating, or reality is different where she's at (think Dr Strange and the Mirror Dimension stuff).
It's mostly corny and sappy, wholesome stuff... but it's all present in person. It started out B&W; when it changed to color, Wanda and Vision both actively noticed that. So it wasn't "filmed in B&W", it WAS B&W.

She does seem to have significant control of the world she's in, doing the quick time rewinds; but she wasn't the one to introduce color. She saw that in the helicopter and the other woman's blood, and it disturbed her. That means someone else also has control, too. And can maybe override her.

Just for the sake of discussion, take most Stephen King novels (and movies)... they are some of the most wholesome and pleasant tales you can find, -until they aren't.
That's the sense I get from this show. It's starting out all happy, but the further in you get, the weirder and creepier it's all going to be.

We get that. It’s just not entertaining on any level. It’s something we have to sit through in order to get clues.

I don't find it any more or less entertaining than a lot of shows. I do find it DIFFERENT than a lot, and that in itself is interesting.

I kinda like when it morphs from Bewitched over to the Twilight Zone. She's trying to keep it happy, but there's something else going on, something she doesn't control.

Is not like the previews for the last 8 months told you what to expect or anything. Did you think all the black and white sitcom stuff wasn't actually part of the series?

Bet they're going to be really mad next week when this moves to the 80s and it turns into the cosby show or full house which, wanda being an Olson could be pretty fun with her twins.

Eta would love to see them do the 90s with vision as al bundy.
