2- The reveal was just so over the top. The show and the song about "it was Agatha all along" just seems to much of a beat us over the head reveal for a show of this quality.

I think it was more signifying that Wandavision is over. We made it to the most recent sitcom era with Modern Family so the reveal is pushing the show in a new direction. We also got our first mid-credits scene of the series and that didnt happen until after we were caught up with Wandavision.

We have two episodes left that are supposedly around a hour each, or close to the length of a Marvel movie. We've reached that point.

Mmm...that musical number says otherwise.
lol wut?

It Was Agatha All Along is referring to the fact she was pulling strings behind the scenes.

Where did that little ditty imply she was the villain?

Her comic book character is way more complex than killing puppies. Go back a couple pages and look at that fantastic four cover. This ain't the first time she kidnapped a child with sorry powers to use and to get other superheroes to help her. Interesting that in that story she's also trapped in a make believe town. Hmmm.

I've been thinking the same thing about Agatha not being a bad guy. Of course, like you I'm an old time comics junkie (I think they cost 20 cents when I first started reading), so that may be influencing both of us. But there are a couple of things besides her comic history arguing against her being the bad guy:

She is A bad guy but not the Big Bad. The Big Bad she is working for and will be fought in Doctor Strange.

Thats why Wanda will be in Strange.

Why dont people think Agatha is a bad guy????

Admittedly the main reason for me is her history in the comics over many many years. She has been a complex character and sometimes uses questionable means but is usually on the side of good - or at least is opposing some evil and using heroes for help. She's helped Wanda and Reed and Sue Richards in the comics.

Agatha might be complex in the comics, but I see her as a villain here.
She's probably not the BIG villain, but she's up to no good.

In her little song, one of the lines referred to her doing evil stuff. She had "naughty" on her pants. And that nasty bug;...

I think she's trying to bring someone (Mephisto?) in, and she's piggy-backing off Wanda's powers to do it. The more Wanda does stuff, the more she can do.

Not only was the military scene a fizzle, but Monica deliberately getting into a space suit with helmet for protection, but then throwing the astronaut helmet off before running into the hex for literally no reason other than to give her powers was stupid.

If you are going to do that, don't have an astronaut helmet on in the first place, so cringe to throw off your protection before charging into danger.

I enjoyed the episode except for that contrived part, show is really good

The whole space suit thing WAS kind of strange. I thought maybe they introduced that because it would morph into some kind of superhero suit when she pushed through the barrier. (Her costume in the comics was predominantly white much like the space suit). Because she ditched the suit as soon as she got through, they obviously weren't going in that direction, so I really don't know why they threw that in thee.

I read where Agatha's reveal was a play on The Munsters.
——I am clearly much older than you, you lucky dog. I remember watching The Munsters on TV.

Because the theme of the show is “nothing is at it appears.”

I'm 37 add I knew the munsters was referenced bc the iconic theme song and intro.

On another topic, the Agatha reveal was definitely too in your face. She won't be the final reveal.

And I'm still feeling like Scarlett Witch might turn bad, she started out as a villain in the comics, and ended up in the Avengers.

I could def see them going the opposite way here

I mean she started off by mind fricking The Avengers which led to Starks ever increasing anxiety, creating Ultron. Her arc is deeply tied to the Avengers split and loss to Thanos.

We shall see if she creates a pathway to multiple realities or Hell/afterlife now that The Darkhold is in play.

The fact that she is in "The Multiverse of Madness" is intriguing,I get she technically started out as a villain but immediately joined the avengers after Ultron, the arc could still go either way especially since the Vision ordeal.

I'm just saying don't write it off yet, she's starting to feel very Erik/Magneto-ish

Maybe the space suit interfaced with the space truck in some way, and without the truck there wasn’t much need for it.

Al Pacino as the Devil is the big bad.

It sounds like Paul Bettany gave away a little too much in his last interview.

She threw it off because it was heavy and hindered her ability to move.

I'm not sure if it's her or the dialogue, but she's kind of one dimensional.

Something I’m curious of is during one of the monumentary situations this episode Wanda is going on about “I don’t understand why this is happening” and from behind the camera who we later find out is Agatha says “do you think you deserve it?” Or something along those lines.

I wonder why Agatha thinks Wanda deserves this?

It wasn't Agatha, it was a male voice.

This show is growing on people. I couldn't get the kids to watch it at the beginning. The oldest came down stairs singing "It was Agatha all along".
That song was catchy.

Also to the above. She's a witch. I'm sure she could make people see her or hear her as a man.
