Did anyone notice that in the preview for next week's episode, Lucille had blood on it?

Could simply be from a zombie.

Maybe Dwight. Idk. He seems pretty salty about Negan railing his wife and fricking up his face.

Intimidation. Fear. Don't do as I say and this is where you will end up. I've noticed several times over the course if the show that the characters aren't so much afraid of death but are afraid they will end up as walkers.

In real terms, I don't understand the Negan storyline. No way a person gets so much power and control through his means. His subordinates all got there by Negan doing terrible things to them to get them to submit. Surrounding yourself with people who deep down want you dead because you have wronged them is not a good way to survive much less thrive.

You actually think Dwight is okay with his wife "marrying" Negan? Yeah, I'd rip the SOB's throat out.

Actually, I thought about this and brutal dictators do exist in today's world, so Negan's power is plausible. Most brutal dictators surround themselves with trusted henchman who carry out their orders and are well taken care of. I guess that is the difference I see with Negan. Just don't know how any of his guys could be loyal to him. Like he said, Dwight is on of his most trusted guys and he got him by burning half his face off and railing his wife.

You can certainly led through fear and brutality as long as you provide the best chance of survival, but it is a risky way to lead because the moment a viable alternative presents itself, your followers will bail on you and they will most certainly seek vengeance if the chance presents itself.

You know I was thinking the same thing. Then I remembered a conversation I had years ago with young couple from Zimbabwe about Robert Mugabe. They said probably 80% of the people hated him and knew he was evil but it was hard to do anything because of the risk to your friends and family. The knew life was crappy but if they shut up and fell in line they could keep their family together and maybe have food for at least 1 or 2 meals everyday. Seems insane to us but if that is all you know and if you aren't doing well surviving on your own is rebellion worth the risk.

Also they probably all know Negan is evil, but how do they know Rick is any better? I'm sure all most of them know about Rick and his people is that they killed a bunch of their people.

its pretty clear we are to take negan's control over his men and the surrounding communities at face value. his power is based on intimidation and is simply a protection racket not unlike those that have been successful in major cities across america since the days of the black hand and the mafia

the saviors are just an organized crime syndicate, no more and no less. negan is the boss. its not unlikely that this early into his tenure as boss that there has not been a viable challenger to his rule. we have seen in other episodes that he controls many true believers

negan and his organization have filled a power vacuum in a way that is familiar to millions and millions of people throughout recorded history.

And that's how Lucille ends up your butt.

does no one own a DVR? Seems like half the posts are commercial complaints. Do like I do and watch a different show at eight and watch TWD on the DVR. No commercials.

It is 2016, we have the technology.

Sure you can't post reactions on here, but so what.

What I find funny is these are the same people who want to interact with other fans in real time, and then they miss important plot points or accuse the episode of being boring...because they are so worried about getting in their clever jab on the message board.

Also, Dwight's egg sandwich looked like heaven in the zombie apocalypse. I'd have left the yolks runny, but you do you, Dwight.

I was thinking the same. Overcooked the eggs, but probably still a top ten meal in the ZA.

Maybe he did it on purpose to make sure it was thoroughly cooked through before consuming? Lessen the chance of a food borne illness?

Definitely overthinking it

When he sat down to finally eat it, I only saw half of the sandwich.

Did he have to give half to Negan?
