Daryl feels all this is his penance for Glenn's death. He will never submit.

She might be the only person ever to look better on the show than she does on Talking Dead.

We're on easy street

And it feels so sweet

"cause the world is but a treat

When you're on easy street.

1. Really good episode. Some solid backstory.

2. Negan is a great villain. The actor is superb.

3. Enjoyed a look into Negan's compound, his rules, etc

4. To all the people bitching about commercials, shut up. It's so tiring. DVR the show, wait 20 minutes, and skip ahead.

5. To the few who are "out" after this episode, no one cares. You not watching this show anymore won't sway anyone who enjoys it.

I think the show has regressed. The episodes used to be more complex, not dedicated to one character or thing at a time. Ever since the second half of season 5 it's been a big tease.

ETA: I still like the show and it's definitely better than anything else on, just think a drop off was inevitable

This ep was just okay. The story wasn't interesting enough to not mix in other story lines.

What's the purpose of the fence?

That's how I feel. I mean most episodes have just been okay lately, but I watch it cause I love TWD. I think the fence is symbolic to what happens to anyone who is "on the fence" or opposes Negan. Dwight and Darryl's different paths?

If you don't like the show since they've made it to Alexandria, you may wanna bail now. This episode was all about shedding light on Negans world. And last week, the Kingdom. The TWD world is larger than before. Get used to these types of episodes.

There's so much shite going on right now. It can't possibly get any more complex. JDM has absolutely transformed this show. Its a real shame that this show gets overlooked at the Emmy's because JDM, Andrew Lincoln and Norman Reedus are killing it this season.

They've been doing this for a while:

Carol and Tyrese got their own episode
Beth got her own episode
Andrea got a few of her own episodes at Woodbury

They do this a lot to move the story forward. If they had split Daryl's story with Alexandria in one episode, it wouldn't have had as much impact, in my opinion.

I get it, what they're trying to do, I just hate when it's slow like this. They spend half a season trying to lay the foundation before we can have an actual episode.

Off topic: this is the second straight episode without Rick
