Tha frick? Koresh was a crazy man. I hate how this has put me in the position of having to defend the Davidians, generally.

But, they weren't bothering people outside that compound. You don't lauch an armed assault against a group of people without a damned good reason.

Still waiting for a "damned good reason" in 2018.

What channel is this, or is it Netflix?

Paramount Network. Formerly Spike TV (formerly TNN).

And even if you have a damned good reason, you still don’t go in with guns blazing when there are lots of innocent children in the middle. Be smarter and not act like Rambo on a weekend.

This was THE day my world changed.

Seeing that unfold snapped my worthless mind into gear and began questioning my government at every turn.

I think that was my sentiment earlier in the thread before I was accused of not getting the "nuance" of a fully militarized raid (recall this was 8 1/2 years prior to 9/11, and roughly 20 years prior to Boston) on a home containing DOZENS of children - children that law enforcement was so deeply concerned about .

"We had to destroy the village [children] to save it [them]." Is that about right?

Just watched the first two episodes. The best line so far and I’m paraphrasing, “I’ve assumed taking on the responsibilities of everyone’s sexual desires.”

So, if you have a situation with crazy parents, law enforcement is justified in just spraying the place with machine gun fire and say, "Moonbat parents. Nothing to see here, folks."?

It's a good thing that didn't happen, isn't it.

Poor you.

You did that all by yourself.

Not really a fan of how they're making David out to be some passive and sensitive man. In the videos that were shot of him before this point of the show he was very angry and a bully.

I should say that that is the only side of him they are showing. I'm sure he could be sensitive when he needed to be.
