I think the best thing about this show now may be watching the melt in these threads.

A few things that crossed my mind:
Eugene knows Sasha is going to try and poison Negan. He saw right through Negan's wives when they lied to get the pills. He's just afraid to directly help her carry out her mission. But to counter that, Negan really sees Eugene's worth and will keep him safe just like Abraham. So this theory could be a toss up.
The leader of that group of women probably has a deal with Negan and that's why she was so adamant about not helping Rick. But at the same time, Negan did take all of their husbands and sons. So she probably just doesn't want anything to do with Negan.
I think this episode was a really good build up to next week's cliffhanger.
Thoughts?

The very first episode of the season was easily the best. This episode was easily the "best" they've had in a while.
For a bunch of hardcore survivors, Rick and his group make some stupid decisions. There was no reason to waste multiple sticks of dynamite (could've come useful against Negan), and that's what led them having to waste several rounds of ammo on walkers.
Once again, this whole war could've been avoided by just killing Negan. Or at the very least the war would much easier to win. If they just camp out in the surrounding buildings and snipe Negan as soon as he comes out.

She just found out about the plan to attack Negan in this episode. She may have a deal with Negan that she's kept secret, but she wouldn't be Negan's little birdie.
Old guy from the Hilltop doesn't make sense either because he had the perfect opportunity to squeal to Trevor in last week's episode but didn't.

And that's probably where he is planning on going when he pulled out the map.
Seriously though - why didn't any of the lesbos go with them to help? Leaving them completely unarmed is also a nice easy setup for them to go back later and find them all killed and the camp burned down

I'm ready for Rick to go HAM. He is at his best when he is on the edge.

Another snooze fest. They better pull off a ridiculous final episode next week or I may pull out. They need to keep Negan alive, shite can fear the walking dead and give Negan a spin off. I could watch that magnificent bastard forever.

Disagree....I think she wanted a weapon to pretend to kill herself and to use on Negan, but Eugene saw through that and gave her the pill.

I think thats why....their husbands and sons are fighting for Negan, she doesn't want to go to war with them and kill them.

Negan wouldn't be dumb enough to keep someone who just came on a suicide mission to kill you alive.
That's why Negan is brilliant. He's going to mind frick Rick by using Sasha. He owns Rick. Negan is going to compromise Rick by using Sasha. Shane would've been a much better survivor than Rick in this new world.

Shane went off the deep end though. But before that, yeah you're right.
Also do we ever find out whether Lori had Rick or Shane's baby?

He already has Eugene and Rick knows that. So he goes in knowing Eugene will probably die. A lot of those fighting with him will die. So what's one more hostage?

I believe in one scene a few season's ago Rick admitted that Judith was NOT his.

assuming thats true (she asked eugene for a weapon she could kill negan with), SHE ALREADY HAD A KNIFE IN THE CELL WITH HER!
why the frick didnt she attack him with the knife as soon as he opened the door the 2nd time?

my other gripe:
1) rick and co want to fight the saviors because they take all their stuff and make it impossible for them protect themselves
2) so rick and co take another community's stuff and make it impossible for them to protect themselves, so that they can fight the group that takes all their stuff and makes it impossible to protect themselves
and they do this without a hint of awareness of the irony

That's what she was saying through the door. She told Negan, earlier, "you win". She then tells Eugene that she was wrong, she can't do it (join Negan).
