Totally disagree with whoever said Nolan's batman crap. I love the Avengers, 2nd best comic book movie ever but it cant even sniff the Dark Knight. and prolly wont touch TDKR

Avengers is the better COMIC BOOK movie, and by quite a large margin.

Avengers was fun. It was everything a comic book should be.

I honestly think the action in this movie is what all comic movies from this point on will be judged by.

This.

my view on the movie

It was a very fun movie to watch very entertaining. But I thought the plot was a little bit to be desired. I've had a little trouble putting my finger on it but It just seemed like the middle part of the movie. From when they got in the aircraft carrier, to when hawkeye attacked was lacking, not much drama, just trying to fill in the story line while we are waiting for the next things to happen.

There were lots and lots of funny funny parts in the movie which I enjoyed, and the action was very fun.

But again fun movie, just wasn't, IMO, a great movie that I want to see over.

I will say this, comic book geeks will think this is the greatest thing ever to walk the face of the Earth.

Just got back. It was okay, but I found my mind wandering and had no problem getting up to take a piss twice. Maybe I'm desensitized to the genre, or maybe my expectations after reading all of the reviews on here were such that the movie couldn't live up to them.

As an aside, though, I think I was the only guy on the theater who laughed at the "and you also made someone else mad. his name is Phil" line. Guess I was the only one who appreciates quirky humor like that.

93% on rotten tomatoes and your review sounds like one of the fifteen rotten ones. Your one of those that tries to look too much into movies. However, I respect your opinion.

actually if you go look into the reviews instead of just looking at the percentage, you will find that most of the critics, liked the movie and said it was a good summer flick but things could have been better. Some of which would mirror what this guy said.

Vision

He's the first addition I thought of when I left the movie tonight. Of course, if you have Vision, you have to have Hank Pym(Ant Man/Giant Man/Yellow Jacket) so there's another new member. I'm guessing they add one more. The Wasp would be likely but I would rather see a more powerful Avenger.

The great parts were great, but there were plenty of slow parts. Didn't flow as well as the Iron Man or Captain America movies. The big battle at the end made up for the mistakes in the first two thirds of the movie.

Best Hulk that we've seen outside of comics.

Avengers may be the best comic book movie to date. What I loved about it was it didn't take itself too seriously and try being philosophical. It was just a very very entertaining movie, The only character that seemed a little weak at times was Captain America.

TDK is overrated. If you had to sit down and rewatch the following three movies over and over what order would you put them in?

1. Avengers
2. Batman Begins
3. TDK

Yeah, I felt bad for him because brain-wise he doesn't measure up to Stark or Banner, and brawn-wise he's arguably #4 behind the Hulk, Thor, & Iron Man.

However, besides still-impressive abilities, the dude has a self-less courage that didn't come from a bottle of serum & would put his life on the line for a buddy. Definitely showed his innate leadership skills when it counted as well.

I do wish they would have explained what his new shield was made of (pretty sure Stark made it after the hint was given in the first Iron Man). Thor's Hammer can dent Iron Man's suit but didn't leave a mark on Cap's shield.

Avengers is a popcorn movie.

TDK is a serious film.

No Oscars handed out for Avengers.

unstoppable force meets unmovable object, that would have been bad arse if they would have done it in the final fight scene and killed off mad dudes

I think that's why I personally enjoyed Avengers more. It embraced its comic book roots and created the spectacle that makes superheroes so much fun to begin with. Whereas Nolan's movies are more like crime dramas with comic book characters, Avengers was actually a comic book movie. It was able to laugh at itself and how ridiculous it is for grown men to dress in costumes and battle other grown men in costumes, without devaluing the characters themselves. It had all the humor and action expected in this type of movie.

A lot of people prefer the way Batman is done completely serious, and that's cool. But I just enjoy movies like this more. It's always good to have options though.
