Well, first 2 episodes are in and I believe they are going for the title of most disappointing Star Wars hype build up since Book of Fett.

They really had a chance to make something special but they let current social and political BS get in the way of doing what was right and best for the franchise.

For the people running Disney, injecting current social and political BS *is* doing what is right and best for the franchise, according to them.

I got so mad I unreclined from my chair and leaned up to the TV and threw popcorn at it.

The parts with obi wan are great and I think Vader will kick in with the member berries. But the two characters they are focusing on the most (Leia and Reva) are written horribly bad and are downright unlikeable. With that said, it’s only been 2 episodes.

The fact that we have whiny, temper tantrum reva using Red Hot Chili Peppers to chase obi wan instead of Vader tracking him down is lame, but I’m hoping it gets bette r

Effective he realized Anakin was still alive was pretty cool.
Leia is a little annoying.

And yes I don't get Reva at all.
She's acting like a Sith not an inquisitor.

What exactly are you objecting to? I thought it was good and the ratings are pretty strong.

Really going out on a limb. It’s also the most existent Star Wars thing since Book of Boba Fett.

Speaking of existence, there’s a Movie and TV Board.

I didn't catch anything overtly political or SJW about either episode.

man. book of Fett had a great 6 month run. nearly 50 years of star wars history and gains the title of "most disappointing Star Wars hype build up" only to lose it to the very next property that comes out.

The Mandelorian and Book of Fett (they're really basically the same series since they tie into one another) is the best Star Wars written since the original trilogy.

I'm pretty sure that's the point. She has the force, full of rage, and uncontrollable. I'm willing to be you'll see a definitive link between her and the Sith.

The tards on here think that merely casting a black woman in a prominent role makes it a political sjw thing.

I’m so sorry you are capable of willing suspension of disbelief. Some people, like the OP, aren’t so lucky and need news to permeate their fiction.

Agree. Unless you think the black chick raging against and killing her white overlord was symbolic in some way

The ratings are strong because it's Star Wars. The reviews (so far) have been disappointing.

My objection is to Leia (In general being a focal point) plus her character has been poorly written thus far.

And the third sister being rewritten as (angry black woman) and obviously promoted to main character. Something her character arch never portrayed.

Its fine if they wanted to tell Leia's back story, and if they needed to revise Reva's character into a more powerful presence, they just shouldn't have hijacked the (Obi-Wan Story line to do it.

It's feeling like the old bait and switch routine.

I'll keep watching to see how it plays out but given Disney's recent history I'm not expecting the story line to improve much. Maybe Anakin can save the story like Mano did for Fett.

He’s not even white. OP and others like him really are looking for something when there’s nothing there. Now, they could complain about her bad acting and have a legitimate argument.

My dollars don't go to Disney+ as it is so there's not much more I can do but stop watching, which isn't off the table just yet.
