Super excited for this movie. We got to see the extended preview on IMAX when we saw Godzilla King of the Monsters.

I don't know, but that long arse preview felt like a deleted scene from The Dark Knight

It's something to do with the flow of time, and I'm hyped.

So you're not really a fan but have still seen 4 of his last 5 movies in theaters?

It is Nolan. You aren't supposed to know. You're just supposed to declare the movie the greatest film of all time.

The title of the film is a hint

I think Tenet has more of a Inception and Interstellar feel to it.

The premise that is out is about a man trying to stop World War III via time travel.

So you've only seen the last two movies he made plus only 2 of his Batman ones? Maybe you should watch his movies before passing this judgement.

I didn’t take him to mean he wasn’t a fan in a negative way. Just that he doesn’t gravitate and throw his money at films due to his name being behind it.

That being said, OP do yourself a favor and go watch Inception yesterday.

you should watch The Prestige and Inception. and maybe Momento. The Prestige is an underrated Nolan film.

Tenet feels like Inception to me. And Inception was a huge blockbuster movie for being unique. It had all the elements of Dark Knight in something truly unique

Almost everything Nolan has touched has turned to gold. I have faith in Tenet to be that good, until proven otherwise

Theaters are rightfully banking on the big summer blockbuster (Tenet) and the big name director (Nolan). That movie comes with intriguing names: Robert Pattinson in an action/thriller role and John David Washington, son of Denzel and rising actor in his own right. Plus banking on the idea that people want to get the frick out of the house for any reason at all

Cringe

You have no perspective

Nolan is one of the best active directors and will probably go down as an all time great

I love Inception. I believe that Nolan pulled the idea of Inception off on the audience.

Or maybe it's that I want to believe.

With a production budget around $200 million, “Tenet” can’t afford to play in just the few areas that are less affected by coronavirus. In particular, it will struggle to make a profit if theaters aren’t open in New York City and Los Angeles, the country’s two biggest filmgoing markets. Ticket sales in those locations can account for 10% to 20% of a film’s domestic earnings. “Tenet,” with its elaborate effects, is also geared at overseas crowds. Movie theaters have begun to slowly reopen in countries such as Norway and the Czech Republic, but most major international markets will have to be back in business before Warner Bros., the studio behind “Tenet,” moves forward with its release.

Insiders expect that the studio will make a decision within a week about whether to hold “Tenet’s” planned debut on July 17 or push it back deeper into 2020. That’s because Warner Bros. will need to start revving up its marketing campaign for the film, and it won’t want to spend tens of millions of promotional dollars only to have to move it.
