Those were 2 shows that my wife and I watched every episode: The Shield and Nip/Tuck.
I think the guy who played Sean on N/T has a house in River Ranch. My wife saw him out walking a dog a few months ago.

Definitely a unique show that pushed the boundaries on television. My favorite season was the 3rd season, the Carver storyline was an interesting concept and made the show about more than just plastic surgery and sex. Christian Troy was the classic playboy, while Sean McNamara was the polar opposite, Sean was much more like a traditional doctor while Christian kind of represented a different style of doctor.
I do wish that there had been closure on the Carver storyline though. I don't like how they ended it, with Quentin and Kit sipping sangrias in Spain, plotting to continue their wicked ways. Didn't really care for that ending to an otherwise great story-line.
