Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, longtime producers of the James Bond movie franchise, have shot down the idea that the British superspy created by Ian Fleming will ever be played by a woman.
“He can be of any color, but he is male,” Broccoli told Variety in an interview published Wednesday. “I believe we should be creating new characters for women — strong female characters. I’m not particularly interested in taking a male character and having a woman play it. I think women are far more interesting than that.”

Good for her, but the SJW's have had their agenda set for James Bond and other characters, so they're woking him up somehow. Next Bond will definitely be black.

Couldn’t have said it better myself. I’m down all day for an original idea or Literary adaption that has a primarily female cast. My issue isn’t with there being too many women in a movie, my issue is that it’s a cash grab.
It’s Just some executive who realized how easy it would be to flip some our favorite male driven movies and make them female. Nostalgia will bring the audience and making all female will bring critical approval. You don’t even need to change much of anything else about the movie, so writing should be quick and easy.

The Bond franchise is just trying to appeal to the woke crowd. The only thing it's going to do is piss the long time fans off.

Considering the Bond movies print money, I'm surprised they've never at least tried a side movie with 005 or something.
You can do the whole "experimental" thing while still having the trappings of the franchise to support it.

I don’t disagree with that at all. There’s a real lack of creativity in Hollywood when it comes to writing for women leads. Just plugging them into a formerly male role is a cop out.
Give me some spy stories about women like Virginia Hall in WWII.

The problem recently has been taking a female character a making her flawless while tearing down the Male characters.
It's like there's only a few people in Hollywood that can write a story with both a male and female character with depth.
The race doesn't matter. Bond still has to be a certain way, and there's many males that could pull it off.

I would want an expanded universe with 006 played by a black man or something.
Then you could have the freedom to do with him as you please, make him your own.
