I didn't really care for the 2014 Godzilla movie until after watching "Kong: Skull Island." The Kong movie made me excited for Legendary's MonsterVerse.

And, honestly, I still enjoy the practical effects and suitmation employed by Toho from 1954 until 2004. I have no problems with the movies they've made.

However, you are correct about much of "Shin Godzilla" being pretty boring.

So hot right now

This movie looks legit. Give me Titans battling it out. Ghidorah looks incredible and menacing. Effects look epic. Acting has a bunch of quality actors that will do just enough to keep the human plot interesting. But the main point of the human plot is to set up the monster fights, and show the epic proportions and devastation. This should be perfect

Mothra had a moment in that trailer were it was on the attack.
And King Ghidorah is Yuge...

This movie is about Godzilla. His mortal enemy has been Ghidorah for a long time. Ghidorah is iconic in the Godzilla universe and even outside it. This is Godzilla’s time to shine. He and Kong can team up to fight a lesser known villain

This is justice for Roland emmerichs awful Godzilla movie.
