In all fairness when Robin Williams portrayed the genie he was just being Robin Williams.

Yeah but he didn’t show up as Robin Williams constantly drawn into the cartoon.
There were several snippets of just “Will Smith” with Aladdin. No genie at all. Might as well call the movie “Hitch: The Middle East”

I mean Genie was in disguise in portions of the cartoon....
My biggest gripe so far is the voice of Jafar. Needs to be a deeper, sinister voice.

I'm actually hopeful for this one. This trailer does a better job than the prior ones.
At least we don't have to listen to Emma Watson screech through these songs.

Yeah but he still looked like the genie.
The genie, in this movie, is straight up Will Smith being Will Smith. There seems to be no voice acting at all (which Robin Williams DID do constantly)...and apparently at times literally just Will Smith on screen with no indication of “genieness” other than a hat

Genie is by far the extreme weak point in this film by the looks of it. Will Smith blows arse.
