Teaser Trailer

quote:

Netflix finally announced a release date for The Last Kingdom season 3, on Monday, and it’s closer than you might think. For those of you unaware, The Last Kingdom is an adaptation of author Bernard Cornwell’s The Saxon Stories series of novels (11 in total, so far), and the story follows the main character, Uhtred of Bebbanburg (Alexander Dreymon), a Saxon-born warrior raised by Vikings.

New Faces:

Extremely pumped for this

Alfred is a bit of dick but IMO Uhtred is more of a frick up bc he could never stay out of trouble

Picture Game of Thrones but not as polished (in a good way) but the plot and acting are pretty good. Its definitely worth a short

This is kind of like History Channel's Vikings told from the British point of view.

The real man was something like that. Devout to the point of neurosis.

It’s definitely worth watching and a great show IMO. Wish Netflix promoted it more.

This show is so good. This season is going to be epic as these are the best two books in my opinion.

IMO Uhtred in the books becomes somewhat less like able during this part of the story, he does some stuff that I think is pretty shitty... Still a great story though, I just hope seeing it on screen doesn't make me hate the TV Uhtred

Alfred is already pretty unlike able which is kind of the point so I'm not worried about him, I just feel like TV Uhtred so far is a more like able version of book Uhtred, which makes sense for TV, I'm worried this part of the story will change that

ETA: Actually, I just refreshed myself on which book is being done this time, he's not so unlike able in this book, he's acting pretty righteously

This is the most exciting news since Beowulf slayed Grendel.

Can’t wait! The scene in the trailer where Uhtred looks to have a knife to Alfred and he says “I gave you glory” intrigues me. Wonder if they will stick to what happens in the book or deviate. Why is this show not way more popular? Never understood that

the best bad show on netflix is back. shame they couldn't find someone that could act to play the seer. solid opening episode either way.

Finished my season 2 rewatch last night. And I read the first 4 books a month or so ago. I’m pumped.
