Industrial fishing and their nets do more damage to the ocean floor and sea life than anything else by a long shot including oil spills

I thought it was decent. Interesting way of trying to get to a different type of message out. Some interesting interviews and information in it, but definitely felt a little over the top at times.

Still think they missed out by not just naming it ConspiraSea, though.

I will have to watch both then!

Have either of you watched Kiss the Ground? I enjoyed it.

Yeah the topic of commercial and industrial fishing generally leads to lengthy threads on the O/B. We see direct damage here along the gulf coast and it's fairly regulated. Go into international waters and they are raping the ocean. Killing reefs. Fish that were bountiful in some seas and waters are nowhere to be found.

I have heard that 80% of our fish/ seafood is exported. Could we afford to control this number? Could help drastically on our end right?

That doc is bonkers. If you believe everything in it you may not want to eat another burger again.

cow farts > auto emissions

The amount of land, feed and gallons of water it takes just to make a few burgers.

It truly is jaw dropping. Not necessarily limited to cow farts but Methane (from animal waste) is apparently much worse for the environment than than CO2 emissions. Hard to argue against their premise when the population continues to grow and ultimately requires more farm range than trees to produce meat.

I always knew about the land and deforestation for grazing fields, especially in South America.

But the water?

To produce:

1 hamburger = 800 gallons of water = equivalent to showering for 2 months. Never knew the amount of precious water cows consume especially in desert areas like California and Texas which raise cattle in water-starved areas.

I hear you..great point and they didn’t exactly mention how that was accomplished..I did however, like the direct questions to the environmental groups as I had no idea of their incestuous relationships with the Ag-Businesses.

Enjoyed it but nothing ground breaking if you pay attention to what liberals obsess over.

the gist: Giant foreign fishing companies pay buckets of money to non-profits to distract/disinform people into thinking the problem is stupid shite like straws and water bottles.

Paris Accord, WHO, and all those other fancy named non-profits exist to protect special financial interests and funnel money around the world to fake conservationists.

the segment on plastic straws is the best part. That woman gets LIVID when asks why straws are so heavily focused on instead of plastic fishing nets. She had a similar reaction to when Biden's press sec is asked about the border shite.

Makeup of trash in ocean:

.003% is from plastic straws
46% is from plastic fishing nets
