I've just finished the first 2 series of HOC & looking for another series to start on. Only other that I've watched has been Breaking Bad.

Alternate between Mad Men (drama) and Peep Show (comedy).

Lost. My wife and I just finished recently. Was a hell of a ride.

I am in heaven right now because Netflix has a ton of documentary type stuff out right now. Behind the scenes of Google, Mind of a Chef, Inside McDonalds, best of TED Talks, etc.

I like nonfiction so much more.

But as far as series on there, New Girl is really funny. Name makes it sound like a chick show, but it's not. It's very funny.

I've never watched Weeds, but I hear it's a good show. There are 8 seasons, so I am unsure when I'll find the motivation for that.

I would suggest Walking Dead. I was hesitant b/c I didn't think I would like it but it's very entertaining. It has some dumb parts but overall a good show.

Some other good ones would be

Sons of Anarchy
The Killing
Sherlock
Orange is the New Black

Personally I never could get into mad men. It was just too slow for what I like.

I hated it.

Got bored of it. Some people call this the GOAT, and I don't get it.

I appreciate it for what it is, and when I look at the big picture, it's a very well-written show. But I agree.

I am just not a huge dramatic fiction series person in the first place, so something has to truly captivate me. With neither OITNB nor Mad Men was I on the edge waiting for the next episode. I had to force myself to go forward.

Walking Dead was just gross and weird

I love the documentary stuff as well and much prefer non fiction, which is why I don't think I would like Walking Dead. I'm assuming it's Sci-Fi/zombie crap, but will research it. I much prefer to watch something believable, or actually true.

Oh, well if you like that kind of stuff, there are lots.

They just added Cosmos to Netflix if you didn't catch it on TV this past year.

Mind of a Chef is FANTASTIC if you're into foodie stuff.

'Inside:_____' where they take you inside different companies is pretty cool.

Blue Planet if you find the ocean fascinating. Plus awesome narration.

I'm about to start BrewMasters, which follows the head of Dogfish Head brewery.

We may give Mind of a Chef a shot as my g/f is definitely a foodie/cooker.

On the documentary side, Unraveled is a very good true life documentary that profiles Mark Dreier (white collar crime) as he awaits his prison term. However, I am really into that type of stuff.

Sons of Anarchy. Starts off great from the beginning. The third seasons a little sketchy but a really good series.

A friend of mine recommended Jiro Dreams of Sushi. Wasn't sure about a documentary about a sushi maker, but it turned out to be pretty interesting / entertaining.
